Hebrew Month of Cheshvan | Obstacles or Opportunities?
October 9 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

What do you do when the path ahead looks different from what you expected? Do you see an obstacle—or an opportunity to trust God?
As we move through the Hebrew month of Cheshvan Pastor Tim Alsbaugh shares a timely message about remembering what God has already done, focusing on what He has promised, and looking forward in faith.
In Genesis 48, Jacob looks back over his life and remembers both the promises of God and the difficult places he walked through. Yet his story did not end with the pain of the past. He could testify of “the God who has fed me all my life long to this day” and “the Angel who has redeemed me from all evil” (Genesis 48:15–16).
That same faithfulness gives us confidence for what lies ahead.
Psalm 145 reminds us that the Lord “upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down” (Psalm 145:14). When obstacles arise, we can remember our experiences with God, anchor ourselves in His promises, and expectantly look to Him.
In this Shabbat message, discover how to…
- Remember Your Experience with God—Recall His faithfulness and what He has already brought you through.
- Focus on His Promise—Allow God’s Word, rather than your circumstances, to shape your expectations.
- Look Forward in Faith—Trust that the God who sustained you yesterday is already present in your tomorrow.
The obstacle in front of you may become the very place where you experience God’s faithfulness in a new way.
Join us this Shabbat as we choose to remember, believe, and look forward in faith.
