How to Activate Supernatural Power
Recently I shared a word about the Church of Thyatira, and how it impacts our ability to activate in supernatural power. This wasn’t easy for me, as I felt the Holy Spirit speaking a convicting message both to me, as well as to the House of David.
Just like the church of Thyatira, House of David has done many incredible “works” for the Lord. We’ve brought over 20 million dollars of aid to the nation of Israel, in less than sixteen years. Incredible! Still, God was quickening my heart this last month as I was facing one of the greatest attacks I’ve possibly ever experienced.
When I quieted myself and asked the Lord, “Why?” He lead me to Revelation 2:18-29:
“And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,
“‘These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: “I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. Nevertheless, I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. Indeed, I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
“‘Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. But hold fast what you have till I come. And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—
“He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels—as I also have received from My Father; and I will give him the morning star.”
“‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”
As a leader in the Body of Christ, I understand that the way in which the sheep I’m responsible for behave is a reflection of my choices as a leader. They model what they see placed before them, and when I see misbehavior, before placing the blame on them, I must evaluate my own condition.
In the area where House of David is located, it is heavily controlled by the spirit of Jezebel. Understand, I am not pointing fingers at people themselves, but toward a principality that works to manipulate the people into fulfilling an unrighteous agenda.
As I spoke to the Lord, I felt His sadness as He took an in depth look at the Church, His Bride. So many church splits come from leaders refusing to deal with this spirit.
Signs that you are under the influence of a Jezebel spirit:
- Has trouble admitting guilt, or saying that they are wrong.
- Takes credit for everything.
- Uses people to accomplish their agenda.
- Withholds information from leadership.
- A Jezebel spirit talks, and over talks, and creates mass confusion.
- Volunteers for anything and everything to get to the inside of a ministry.
- Lies, doesn’t tell the whole truth, and has no conviction over partial truths.
- Ignores people when they don’t get their way.
- Never gives credit or shows gratitude.
- Critical of everyone.
- Always spiritualizes everything to their interpretation.
- Twists Bible and scripture for their own use.
- Insubordinate, and will never submit.
- Sows seeds of discord, pushy, and domineering.
- Operates through insecurities, pride, and arrogance.
As the Body of Christ, it is time like never before, to rise up and take a stand. If we wish to walk in supernatural power, we must act now! As we walk out our day-to-day life, it is important that we put a demand on our soul to not come into agreement with this sort of behavior. If you fear losing church members, believe me, if the issue is not dealt with early, members will eventually leave anyway—damaging many Believers in the process.
That said, take some time this week to repent to the Lord for any areas where you’ve partnered with this spirit or allowed it to operate. Ask for specific strategy on how to deal with the issue in a way that will bring about God’s purposes and plans, and put a stop to any other agenda that does not align with the Word of God.
