Curt Landry Ministries:I was hungry and you gave me food

needy families in Beit She’an, Israel for their Rosh Hashanah meal

”Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”—Matthew 25:34-40

We would like to say thank you to all of our friends and partners who help support Curt Landry Ministries.

Did you know that your efforts are touching lives

ALL around the world?

Below is a copy of a letter that we recently received, and we wanted to share it with you, because it was your prayers and financial support that helped us to provide food vouchers for needy families in Beit She’an, Israel for their Rosh Hashanah meal.

Each family that received a voucher was able to go to their local store and select the ingredients needed to make a humble celebratory meal to welcome in the New Year!

You provided them a way to

celebrate with provision and dignity.

A traditional Rosh Hashanah meal includes many items.

Challah bread, honey, and apples are all symbolic of a fruitful and sweet new year.

As we dip the apples in the honey we say:

May it be Your will, Lord our G‑d and the G‑d of our fathers, that You renew for us a year good and sweet like honey.

The head of a fish or ram is often served to represent the head of the year.

May it be Your will, Lord our G‑d and the G‑d of our fathers, that we be a head and not a tail.

Other traditional meal items include: A traditional Rosh Hashanah meal includes many items.
