Seek the Lord and Lack No Good Thing

Do you believe you lack no good thing? Psalm 34 contains this covenant promise: “Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing” (vs. 10). This is the month to taste and see that the Lord is good (vs. 8)! The Lord is good, yet what we experience can seem far from it. Could it be that we aren’t seeing clearly with the mind of Christ?

The problem many people face today is a spirit of doubt and confusion, causing blurred vision in the spirit. There are no deliverables, breakthroughs, or transformations in their faith. As a result, they walk away bent over and broken.

Yet, good things are promised to us. So, how do we receive them? Ephesians 1 tells us more about the “good things” we have…

  • We are blessed with every spiritual blessing (vs. 3).
  • We are chosen before the foundation of the world to be holy and set apart (vs. 4).
  • We have been predestined to be adopted by the Lord for His good pleasure (vs. 5).
  • We are accepted, redeemed, and forgiven (vs. 6-7).
  • We have a guarantee of our inheritance, sealed with the Holy Spirit (vs. 11).

These are great things! This is not lack—there is no lack in the Kingdom. However, accessing these things requires a faith mindset

Seek the Lord. See Breakthroughs.

This month of Tevet is about vision–seeing with the mind of Christ. We must see circumstances from a heavenly viewpoint, setting our minds on things above, not on things of this earth (Colossians 3:2). Having a faith mindset means seeking the Lord and the things above.

Yeshua said, “… when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)

In other words, “When I return, I’m looking for people on earth to be focused on Heaven. I’m looking for those who seek the things above, see their identities hidden in Me, understand their purposes for the Kingdom, and know their inheritance is the Holy Spirit. This mystery of a faith mindset is to know that I am in you.”

Cultivating a Culture of Growth

You were not created to be powerless and a slave to your circumstances. The Lord said He gave you authority to trample serpents and scorpions. He gave you power by the Holy Spirit! The key is tapping into His strength so you can truly grasp who He created you to be—your identity—and walk out what you were created to do—your purpose.

Cultivating this culture of seeking Him in every area of your life grows your faith—the faith mindset Yeshua is asking to find when He returns!

This month, Tevet, set your focus above. Challenges will come, but according to the Word, you lack no good thing. He gives you the tools to overcome!

See the Lord as your Rear Guard to protect you from what you can’t see. Enter into the month with a heart of worship and ask for His wisdom to move forward.
