No matter what our circumstances may look like, as Believers we are meant to bring in God’s harvest—a harvest of souls. God created us to be more than overcomers! In His strength we can accept the call laid before us…

But there are things we can do to prepare us for this harvest. Things which help us to better hear God’s voice, know His heart, and follow in His footpaths. Join us as we discover the secrets found in God’s Word which propel us toward our season of overcoming!

Bring in God’s Harvest

God desires that no one should perish. It is why Jesus—the Son of God—lived, died, and rose again. It is why He commanded us to go into all the earth and preach of eternal life through Him. God did not create us to accept darkness, He created us to BRING light to the darkness. He created us to be overcomers!

Through God’s Word we find the wisdom and direction to do our part. Wisdom and direction, which, when followed, can not only help us bring in God’s harvest, but cause us to become overcomers in all we do!

1. Proclaim God’s Authority

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!”—1 Chronicles 16:8

“For I proclaim the name of the Lord: ascribe greatness to our God.”—Deuteronomy 32:3

“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.”—1 Chronicles 16:23

“That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works.”—Psalm 26:7

“I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; with my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. For I have said, ‘Mercy shall be built up forever; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.’”—Psalm 89:1-2

2. Praise God

“Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! 3. Preach the Good News

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;”—Isaiah 61:1

4. Continue in Faith

“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.”—1 Corinthians 16:13

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…”—Hebrews 11:1-3

5. Stand in God’s Strength

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”—Philippians 4:13

“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”—Isaiah 40:29-31

“…I will love You, O Lord, my strength.”—Psalm 18:1

“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.”—Psalm 18:32

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”—Psalm 27:1

“Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”—Psalm 31:24

6. Worship God in Spirit and Truth

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”—Psalm 34:1

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”—John 4:23-24

“Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”—Psalm 95:6

“Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness…”—Psalm 96:9

“Exalt the Lord our God, and worship at His footstool—He is holy.”—Psalm 99:5

7. Give to God and the Needy

“…whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”—Galatians 6:7

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”—Luke 6:38

“‘Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, “In what way have we robbed You?” In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,’ says the Lord of hosts;”—Malachi 3:8-11

“Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.”—Proverbs 3:9-10

While these seven secrets to overcoming may not include everything which God wants YOU to believe, receive, or do, they serve as important lessons. As tools each and every Believer needs to bring in God’s harvest and overcome!

Beyond this, seek God and discover what He would have you refine in your walk with Him. He may have you focus on one of these seven things, or something else entirely, but either way His Word WILL confirm His answer to you. Meditate on His confirming scriptures, memorize and implement them in your life. Through following God’s direction and Word, you will not only improve your walk with Him, you will be able to bring in God’s harvest. You will be an overcomer!
