  • Romans 8:31

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

  • Joshua 10:25

“Then Joshua said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.’”

Scriptures Reminding us that Believers Do NOT need to Live in Fear…

  • 2 Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

  • Isaiah 41:9-10

“… I… said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’”

  • Philippians 4:4-7

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

  • John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Scriptures to Remind us of the Power of Faith and Waiting on God…

  • 2 Corinthians 5:7

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

  • Isaiah 40:31

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

  • Psalm 27:14

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!”

  • Hebrews 11:3

“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”

  • Hebrews 11:8-13

“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

“By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”

  • Hebrews 12:1-2

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Scriptures on Endurance and Hope…

  • James 1:12

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

  • Psalm 23:4-6

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

  • Psalm 31:24

“Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord.”

  • Jeremiah 17:7

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.”

Scriptures Reminding us of the Power of God’s Love…

  • Galatians 5:6

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.”

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:8

“But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.”

  • 1 John 4:18-20

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.

“If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?”

  • Romans 8:38-39

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

  • 1 Corinthians 2:9

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’”

  • Matthew 7:7-11

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”

When fear tries to take hold, seek the Lord, meditate on these and other Scriptures, pray, and find peace in the one whose peace surpasses all understanding. Remember that “God has not given us a spirit of fear” (2 Timothy 1:7). He created us to be overcomers! He created us as warriors, not always of the sword, but of worship, prayer, love, and faith…

Therefore, let us walk in these. Let us “walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7), knowing that at the end of our journey, our reward is eternity with One who loves us beyond earthly reason; the One who views us as His pearl of great price!
