Every one of us has different spiritual weaknesses. The good news is that through diligence and faith, we can overcome these weaknesses to grow closer to God.
Your spiritual growth has nothing to do with how long you have believed in God, how much you know about the Bible, how many religious activities you participate in, how much God loves you, or your salvation in Christ. Everyone struggles with spiritual weakness, no matter what stage of life or faith journey they are in. This does not mean you are any less of a Believer, or any less loved by God.
What it means instead is that you are called to grow in your faith and overcome these weaknesses until you depart this world and enter God’s Kingdom. This is not something you can accomplish with the snap of a finger, unfortunately. There’s no secret trick or formula. It is a lifelong process of growth that involves you pinpointing what causes you to struggle spiritually and how you can continually overcome those struggles.
Perhaps you wish you were kinder or more hospitable to other people. Perhaps you struggle with thankfulness and gratefulness for the blessings you have been given. Perhaps you are impatient, quick to judge, or quick to anger. Whatever you feel is your weakness, this is where God wants you to grow and improve, to become more like Him. God can turn even your smallest weaknesses into a way to glorify Him, and that begins by you finding and confessing your spiritual weakness.
This is, of course, easier said than done. For many people it is easier to try to deny our weaknesses, or to avoid seeking forgiveness or improvement. And while it’s true this is the easier road to take, it is not the one God wants us to take. God wants us to work with him and with each other to constantly improve our spirituality.
As such, we would like to offer you the opportunity to share your area of need with us. In return, we will provide you a series of scriptural studies, plenty of resources ministering to your area of need, video services meant for inspiration and encouragement, audio messages that provide more insight into your weakness, virtual Bible study and small group opportunities, and much more, all tailored to the area in which you want to grow.
