Are You Being Robbed of Joy and Good Health?

Are you being robbed of joy and good health? We know that the thief comes to steal what is rightfully yours. When sickness and illness are present in your life, joy is often quickly snatched out of your heart and hands.

However, God has gifted to you, “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” through the Holy Spirit. It is time to take back what is rightfully yours–joy and good health!

Understand God’s Heart Toward You

If you’ve been robbed of joy and good health…

The first step is to understand God’s deep desire and love for you. You have to understand how precious you and your well-being are to Him.

The second step is to deal with what the thief has done before expecting to make forward progress in your life.

The enemy can tempt us into stress, despair, and depression. The thoughts we have about ourselves are powerful.

  • “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. ‘Eat and drink!’ he says to you, but his heart is not with you.”—Proverbs 23:7

We cannot simply say that we want to live a life of health. If you’ve been robbed of joy, ask God to place His desire for you in your heart and then choose action.

  • “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.”—Psalm 37:4

The third step is to cancel poverty, lack, and orphan spirits…

These spirits—poverty, lack and orphan—work against what God has promised to you. They hold you back and remind you of past failures and mistakes. However, you can cancel these thieves in your life and be on the road to better health and prosperity!

How the Enemy Leaves You Robbed of Joy

When we operate out of these spirits (poverty, lack, orphan) in regard to our health, it can look something like this…

  • Turning inward and choosing to isolate and remain completely independent
  • Fearing and be full of insecurity, constantly in need of reassurance
  • Always judging others weaknesses
  • Having a chronic long-term feeling of lack in regards to health or finances
  • Complaining
  • Resenting healthy or wealthy people
  • Having a habit of making poor health and financial choices
  • Criticizing others for successes

This clearly creates a lifestyle robbed of joy.

If you’ve been robbed of joy and good health, take steps now to claim what is yours in Yeshua…

  • Take time with the Lord. I recommend setting time aside each day in prayer and meditating on His promises.
  • Repent for partnering with these spirits and ask the Lord to bind them and cut them off from your life… in Yeshua’s name.
  • Pray and proclaim boldly what you need in the Courts of Heaven! “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6).

When we are robbed of joy, we must be equipped to fight back, standing on scripture and the power of God within us.

Verses on Restoration and Joy

Jesus is joyful! His Holy Spirit in us fills us with joy as we turn to Him and trust Him. He gives us joy even when it doesn’t make sense and promises to return what the enemy has stolen from us. When you feel robbed of joy, here are 7 verses to remind you of God’s promises of comfort and restoration:

  1. “…the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. –1 Peter 5:10 (emphasis added)
  2. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; and My people shall never be put to shame.”   –Joel 2:25-26 (emphasis added)
  3. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” –Romans 15:13 (emphasis added)
  4. “Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you.” –Zechariah 9:12 (emphasis added)
  5. “Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.” –Psalm 71:20-21 (emphasis added)
  6. For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord.” –Jeremiah 30:17 (emphasis added)
  7. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts…” –Malachi 3:11 (emphasis added)

Pray with me:

Father God, in the Name of Yeshua, we come into your throneroom today.

I thank You that I can approach Your throne of grace and enter the Courts of Heaven with boldness because I am Your child. I repent for any ways I have partnered with the spirit of poverty, lack, or orphan spirit. I renounce and break all agreements with them and ask You to bind them and cut them from my life by the power of Your Name.

I am a prisoner of hope, trusting you will bring a double portion of blessing for my suffering. Nothing is wasted as I surrender to You. From the depths of the earth, you will again bring me up; You are the God of all restoration. I am declaring today that You Yourself will restore me and make me strong, firm, and steadfast. You promise to restore what the locust has eaten, rebuking the devourer for my sake. I know you will deal wondrously with me.

Thank You for restoring my health and joy as I align with Your love and life within me. May You fill me with all joy and peace in believing that I may abound in hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen
