Grace: Unmerited Favor

Join Curt Landry as we review his powerful PowerPoints with Curt Landry devotional on the subject of Grace. In it he discusses the definition of grace and how it affects our day-to-day lives.

When you begin to understand grace and you have received unmerited favor, then you are more apt to give it to someone else. You cannot give what you do not receive!

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”—2 Corinthians 9:8

What is the mystery? It’s the mystery of the One New Man… That is the ultimate grace! Grace for Israel… and grace for the Gentiles.

“…that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height…”—Ephesians 3:19-18

I want to share what grace sounds like… Grace from God brings a revelation so that you can say, “I know who I have believed. Even though I don’t understand what’s going on, grace tells me that I can trust, even without understanding.”

“For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.”—2 Timothy 1:12

I’m taking a look at the nature of grace… The key here is you have to go back to the death of Jesus. On the third day, He is raised from the dead. We need to understand the power of the resurrection.

“Concluding that God was able to raise Him up, even from the dead, from which He also received Him in a figurative sense.”—Hebrews 11:19

In summary, grace and mercy means that God has given power through the blood of Jesus to find us faultless. The blood of Jesus removes the sin. When we repent we activate the blood, and the byproduct of walking without sin is that you will walk in supernatural life through Him.

“Now to Him who is able to keep you[a] from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.”—Jude 24
