Facebook Live with Stephen Strang | Praying for Our Nation at this Critical Time

As the United States approaches a pivotal moment in time, it is critical that we pray in alignment with the Word to release healing and restoration into our land. Curt Landry and Stephen Strang discuss how to pray for our nation as we approach November’s election day.

“… if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”—2 Chronicles 7:14

God Has a Plan

First, we must understand that God has a plan. He is in control and does not change.

Meditate on these verses…

  • “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” —Jeremiah 29:11
  • “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28
  • “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…”—Ecclesiastes 3:1
  • “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8
  • “For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob.”—Malachi 3:6
  • “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”—Numbers 23:19

Declare that God’s plans will prevail!

God’s Word Will Not Return Void

Second, we must understand His Word will not come back void. Therefore, we must pray according to what He has promised so that we can experience the blessings He plans to release. Give Him thanks for what He has written in the books of Heaven!

Meditate on these verses…

  • “There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.”—Proverbs 19:21
  • “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”—1 John 5:14
  • “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”—1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
  • “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,’ …Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it.”—Isaiah 46:9-11
  • “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”—Isaiah 55:11

Declare that God’s plans will prosper!

Speak to the Rock as One New Man

Lastly, leading up to the election and beyond, the Body of Christ must persevere. As Believers, we must stand firm on the Word, continue to speak to the Rock of our salvation, and unite as One New Man.

Meditate on these verses…

  • “He shall cry to Me, You are my Father, My God, and the rock of my salvation.’”Psalm 89:26
  • “Then they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer.”Psalm 78:35
  • “For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God?”—Psalm 18:31
  • “… having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”Ephesians 2:15-16

Declare the Rock of our salvation redeems and restores!

The truth is, we do not battle against flesh and blood. We battle against spiritual forces. Therefore, we must understand that as God’s plan—uniting Jew and Gentile together and strengthening His family—continues to unfold, the enemy will continue to press in.

So then, let us stand on our identity in Christ. Let us access the authority we have been given to expand the pegs of our tent as the Body of Christ.

“And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.”Galatians 3:29

Declare the authority you have in Christ, according to Luke 10:19!

We Must Unite in Prayer

When we unite in prayer as the Body of Christ, we begin to access the power of the Spirit to move mountains.
