Rosh Hashanah | Time to Awaken and Receive a Fresh Impartation from the Lord
We are approaching Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. This means that we are only days away from a time to awaken our spirits and receive what God has assigned to us for the upcoming season.
The word for this Fall Feast season is anchored in Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
In this age of deception and war of words, many Believers find themselves uncertain about what to say, what to believe, and how to stand firm.
But silence is not an option. Heaven is asking a question: What will you choose to speak?
Words are never neutral. They are seeds that produce fruit after their own kind. God is calling His people to decree His promises, proclaim His truth, and release Heaven’s perspective into earthly situations.
And it begins with Rosh Hashanah: our call to awaken from spiritual complacency and hear what the Lion of Judah is speaking.
The Future and the Fall Feasts
The Fall Feasts, or the Feasts of the Lord, point to what the future holds for Believers in Messiah Yeshua.
Rosh Hashanah is the Feast of Trumpets…
- It is the Jewish New Year.
- It is a time to awaken our spiritual ears so that we walk in the will and purpose for the upcoming year.
- It points to the return of Jesus, who will come in the sky in glory to the sound of a trumpet blast.
The Seventh Trumpet Proclaims the Kingdom!
“Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’” —Revelation 11:15

Preparing Your Heart, Mind, and Home
We want to steward well what God releases. We want our hearts to be good soil. Here are some ways to prepare for this appointed time.
1. Return and Repent: Teshuvah
The Hebrew word for repentance is teshuvah. Repentance clears the way for God to awaken (Rosh Hashanah), atone for (Yom Kippur), and abide (Sukkot) in us.
Consider fasting as a way to clear distractions, to slow down, and to focus on Jesus. Ask Him to reveal to you what hinders you from experiencing more of Him, and if you need to remove something to more fully align with Him and where He’s leading you.
Pray Scripture…
- “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” —Psalm 139:23-24
- “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.” —Psalm 51:6
- “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” —Numbers 6:24-26
2. Blow the Shofar
Blowing the shofar is the awakening blast in the spirit. Trumpets hold great prophetic significance in the Bible. They are blown to…
- Move the assembly to worship the LORD (Yahovah of Hosts)
- Move the army and prepare for battle
- Move the leadership and call the people together
- Announce the coronation of our coming King, Jesus
The sound of the trumpet is a call for movement. Yeshua wants us to depend entirely on Him. As Moses declared, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” (Exodus 33:15)
3. Bring Everything Under Jesus’ Authority
Through prayer and anointing oil, separate everything unto God. Shore up any open doors the enemy may attempt to hijack, not out of fear or legalism, but through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Pray over rooms in your home, devices, items of significance, and declare they are under the authority of Jesus Messiah, the Root of David, the Lion of Judah, and the One True God.
- “It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” —Isaiah 10:27
- “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” —Psalm 37:5
- “And He put all things under His [Jesus’] feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” —Ephesians 1:22-23

Awaken and Receive
The Fall Feasts are about reconnecting and renewing your covenant with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It’s an appointed time He has set aside to break open doors for you—to awaken you to the wholeness He has prepared for you–to refine and renew you into the likeness of Jesus.
It is time to awaken to the fresh impartation with His liberty and freedom—and into your abiding place with God. Hear the Lion of Judah roar, speak His words, and follow Him into the fullness of your Kingdom purpose.
