In light of recent events, let the Church arise, lifting up prayers for Afghanistan. We must enter into the Courts of Heaven, the War Room, and call upon the name of God, battling not with human wisdom but by the power of God.
Ephesians 6:12 states, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Therefore, as the Church, if we are going to be effective in spiritual warfare, we need to fervently pray in the Courts of Heaven under the blood of Jesus.
Will you battle in the spirit with us, lifting up 6 urgent prayers for Afghanistan?

1. The United States troops
2. Believers and the underground Church
3. Political leaders
4. Spiritual leaders, pastors, and missionaries
5. The advancement of the Gospel
6. The peace of Jerusalem
Let us put on the full armor of God, completely trusting in the strong arm of the Lord. We do not serve a God that will not fulfill His Word completely. He is Jehovah-Shammah. He is the God who is here, right now in the midst of the war. He delivers!
Let us pray in agreement that the fear and oppression are broken off, in Jesus’ name!
Prayers for Afghanistan | Enter into the Courts of Heaven
“Father God, we thank You that we can enter into Your courts by the blood of Jesus. We wash ourselves in His blood and thank You for redeeming us from all generational curses and iniquities. We thank You that Your blessings are for a thousand generations, and we thank You, that we walk in those blessings.
“Lord, as Your Church, we lift up prayers for Afghanistan. We put on the full armor of God so that we can take our stand against the enemy’s schemes…
- Standing firm with the belt of truth around our waists
- Standing with the breastplate of righteousness in place
- Standing with our feet fitted with the Gospel of peace
- Taking up the shield of faith
- Putting on the helmet of salvation
- Taking the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God
“Lord God, our identity is in You. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. We thank You, Lord, that it is not by might nor by power, nor even by our opinions, but by Your Spirit that victory comes. We are pleading for mercy, for the Spirit to move on behalf of those in Afghanistan.
“Lord, in Isaiah 43:25, Your Word says that You blot out our transgressions for Your name’s sake. Lord God, we ask for forgiveness for the poor choices, decisions, and policies made regarding what is happening in Afghanistan. There has been innocent bloodshed. Lord, forgive our nation and blot out our transgressions.
“We need mercy in this hour, Lord. There have been transgressions and sin, and we ask You, as repairers of the breach, that You would raise us up to go into the courts and accomplish Your Word. Lord, in Isaiah 58:11, You say that You will guide us continually and satisfy our souls in drought. You will strengthen our bones and make us like a well-watered garden.
“Lord God, give us a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit that will erupt within us. We want to abide in you and align with Your Word, Lord, declaring Psalm 91 and lifting up prayers for Afghanistan.”
