What is the Message of the One New Man that you have likely heard about through our website and blog? Here is a quick overview.

During the fourth century, church elders were attempting to establish a lot of different regulations that would separate the Church from its Jewish roots. Many religious leaders essentially tried to erase the connection that existed between Christianity and a Jewish Jesus. However, these decisions were not particularly good for the Church or for Israel—all that resulted from them was a separation from our heritage. We believe this separation was never what God had in mind for us as a people, and that we are called to have a greater understanding of our Father rooted in the history of our faith. This is at the core of everything we believe and do. The Message of the One New Man is about bringing us back into the Hebrew roots of our Christian faith to help contextualize what we believe and give us a greater understanding of our faith was formed. This, we believe, helps us to get to know our God better. This delving into the history of our faith creates a new unity between Jew and Gentile. Jew and Gentile uniting as the One New Man is a sign and a demonstration that God never broke His covenant with either people.

The Jewish people have been given a double blessing according to Isaiah 40:2:

“Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.”

The Gentiles, by the grace of God, have also been granted a portion of this blessing. Therefore, the two uniting as the One New Man creates a powerful attachment, making us stronger together than when we are separated. This is the full recognition of our faith as God meant it to be.
