A Prophetic Warning | Darkness is Coming. Position Yourself for Protection.

Recently, Rabbi Curt Landry delivered a prophetic warning for the month of Kislev, the Hebrew month known for Hanukkah. This year, it starts at the end of November and ends at the beginning of December. The word he released was that Kislev is a month of “darkness aflame with hope.” The flame of hope is the glory of God. The glory of God will shine, but at the same time, darkness will fall, deep darkness upon all the earth. Therefore, you need to position yourself for protection.

There will be many things exposed in the month of Kislev. The darkness that has been trying to destroy many of you, lying to you about God’s covenant promises, will be revealed by the flame of the Holy Spirit.

What the Lord is Saying in the Month of Kislev

God is calling His house to be a house of prayer for all the nations. He is saying, “Enough is enough!” Just as He brought up a small army, the Maccabees, to restore the Holy Temple in the story of Hanukkah, He is bringing up a remnant army, equipping them with a strategic plan. In other words, He is saying, “Position yourself for protection because much will be exposed.”

How to Position Yourself for Protection

First, you have to make a decision to apply the action plan and instruction the Lord gives you. If you have been on the fence about something—something that has seemed to be “in the dark”—ask the Lord to reveal the next action step.

Second, trade your fears for trust in God. Do you know the Lord? Do you trust Him, taking Him at His Word? If you do not know the Lord, if you are not born-again, that is the action step the Lord is speaking to you in this month of darkness. Making a decision to trade your fears, doubts, and unbelief for trust in God is a way to position yourself for protection.

If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, say a prayer such as this…

“Father God, in the name of Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner and need to repent, turning to You. I have doubted that You created me and sent Your Son as the Lamb of God to expunge my sins so that I can enter into Your presence. In the midst of the darkness that is coming, I have a flame of hope.

“Father God, the Bible says that Jesus is the Light of the world. I have rejected Him and lived according to my soulish ways, but now, Your Spirit has revealed to me that He is the Messiah, the anointed One who came to save me from the pits of hell. Jesus, come into my heart today, in Jesus’ name, I receive salvation! Amen!”

Third, start to walk in His ways to position yourself for protection. Do you know His ways? Perhaps you have just given your life to Jesus, or maybe you’ve been born again for years, but you are still confused as to how to walk in His ways.

The first thing to understand is that His ways are higher than yours.

  • “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’”—Isaiah 55:8-9

However, because you are an heir and co-heir with Christ, you can boldly approach His throne in the Courts of Heaven, asking to understand His ways (see Hebrews 4:16)! He will teach them to you as you dedicate your life to Him.

Position Yourself for Protection and Don’t Be Afraid!

You do not need to be afraid of the coming darkness. Let us come together in a prayer of agreement to cast it out with the Word of God (see the prayer below).

Let us pray…

  • 2 Chronicles 7:14
  • Psalm 139:1-6
  • Isaiah 43:26
  • Psalm 91

If you have just committed your life to Jesus, your sin has been expunged by His blood, and His power of forgiveness is in you. Or perhaps you have just reset your life upon Him. The good news is that when the flame of hope and the light come, and you have decided to walk in His way, you will break through the darkness. You are covered and redeemed—fully protected!

Second Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Let us humble ourselves now. Let us turn from any wickedness within us and pray to the Lord!

Prayer to Cast Out Darkness and Position Yourself for Protection

“Father God, in the name of Jesus, I seek Your face today. Lord, I humble myself and turn from my wicked ways, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Lord, equip me to be a remnant warrior, to restore the light in my temple. Cast out the coming darkness from me and position me for protection.

“Lord God, Isaiah 43:26 says to put You into remembrance of Your Word. The Word is spirit and life. Lord, I surrender myself to the mercy court. I bow before You, Just Judge, and declare Your Word.

“Lord, I pray Psalm 139. Search me and know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. Lord God, You know the number of hairs on my head. You understand my thoughts and comprehend my path. You know every detail of my ways. Lord God, cleanse me from any way that is unpleasing to You.

“Lord God, I take hold of the strategic, spiritual warfare strategy and align my ways with Yours. There is not a word on my tongue that You do not know. Bring the hot coal from the altar and touch my lips, cleansing them. In the darkness of Kislev comes your flame of fire with hope. Let my mouth speak life, hope, love, peace, and joy! Lord God, You are preparing for a great harvest of souls. Lord, I want to be about Your business and Your work!

“Lord God, I thank You for giving me an armor of protection. I dwell in You. I dwell in the secret place and abide under Your shadow. I decree that You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and the perilous pestilence. You are my refuge and shelter. I will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor the arrows that fly by day.

“Lord God, lay Your hand upon me in the name of Jesus now. I ask for a mantle of trust for all provisions and the anointing of Cyrus. Lord, continue to search me and cleanse me, giving me hope in the name of Jesus. Amen and amen!”

Rabbi Curt Landry said this…

  • “The Lord is equipping His remnant to restore the light of the temple. He is restoring His house to be a prayer for all nations. He is not finished with the Church. He is sending a flame of fire. The coming fire from God, in the midst of fear and darkness, will bring in people from the highways and the hedges. They will be running in and asking those who know God, ‘Will you bring me into your light that I might warm my cold soul in the flame and fire of the Holy Spirit?’”

The Takeaway

So then, in the midst of the darkness, humbly approach the Lord and ask Him to cleanse you. Position yourself for protection by declaring your trust in Him. You are more than a conqueror in Christ. He gives you the strength you need by the flame of the Holy Spirit to make it through the darkness. Let His fire come to purify.

  • Start every day with the fire of the Holy Spirit.
  • Dedicate yourself to Him afresh.
  • Be available to Him and thank Him for what He is about to do
