Jubilee 5776: A Fall Feast to Remember
With the coming of Rosh Hashanah, we have now entered Jewish year 5776. In terms of the numbers, this is significant because:
• The number five represents “grace”
• The number seven represents “perfection”
• The number six represents “the number of man”
We believe this year, the Jewish year 5776, will be a year in which God’s perfection overcomes man’s weakness by His grace. What’s more, this is a very special Jubilee year, the 70th since Joshua and Caleb crossed the Jordan. This Jubilee year coincides with the fourth blood moon.
All of these factors together are going to make Jewish Year 5776 and the next 12 months a year to remember. At Curt Landry Ministries, we believe this is the year in which God will send showers of blessings upon His people who are seeking Him with all their hearts. As is written in Psalm 42:
“As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.”

What is a Blood Moon? A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth passes between the sun and the moon. This blocks the sun’s rays from reflecting off the moon as normal. However, some of the sun’s rays curve around the earth causing the moon to appear red during a total eclipse. Because of its vivid color, a total lunar eclipse is often referred to by NASA as a Blood Red Moon. When four blood moons happen in close succession, NASA refers to this as a tetrad. Tetrads are rather rare, only taking place fifty-five times since 1 AD.
