How to Overcome Demonic Attacks

There are certain times of the year that demonic attacks are stronger than others. Most often, they are around the Feasts of the Lord, as the enemy hates for Believers to place their feet beneath the Lord’s table to receive what He has for them.

Between the time of Passover and Shavuot is called the Counting Down of the Omer. This is a time period of personal introspection and preparation. At Passover, you came out of Egypt, a place of bondage and slavery—a place that tied your soul to fleshly things.

During the Counting Down of the Omer, you prepare your heart to receive the Spirit’s divine instruction.

Why Demonic Attacks Happen at This Time of Year

Between the time of Passover and Shavuot is a time to prepare for the impartation of the Holy Spirit, which is released during Pentecost, or Shavuot. The enemy knows this is a time of preparation, which is why you experience demonic attacks. Satan does not want you to be prepared for the fire of the Holy Spirit which will release revelatory instruction and vision for the next season.

Demonic attacks happen at this time of year because it is God’s appointed time, and the enemy’s goal is to get you out of alignment with the Creator. This means the enemy knows the Spirit is on the move during this season, and he will do anything to steal, kill, and destroy your call, anointing, passion, and blessings.

The enemy leverages fear to attack Believers, and specifically in this season it is a fear of change.

How Demonic Attacks Are Manifesting in This Season

Right now, the enemy is working to steal your…

  • Joy
  • Finances
  • Peace
  • Health
  • Fulfillment
  • Passion
  • Peace
  • Confidence
  • Stability
  • Balance

Are you experiencing an attack in any of these areas?

The enemy wants you stressed, worried, broken, oppressed, unfulfilled, unstable, and feeling like a victim. He wants you to quit. He wants you to lose sight of the vision that God revealed during Passover and become overwhelmed and doubtful.

This is the key… Stand up right now and declare, “I will not quit! I can do all things through Yeshua! He is my strength! The joy of the Lord is my strength!”

You must make a choice. You know how the demonic attack is working, and now you can overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of your testimony.

How to Overcome Demonic Attacks in This Season…

Step 1. Get out of your comfort zone.

Although this can seem scary, you must not walk by sight but by faith in this season. Come to a place where you lean on the Lord of the Universe and not on the comforts and familiarity of your life.

Ask the Spirit to give you joy in not knowing exactly what and how the Lord is working all things out for your good. Understand that His ways are higher than your ways, His thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

The Heavenly Father is inviting you to demonstrate your faith in Him. Hope in Him. Love and trust Him.

Declare right now, “I will trust in the Lord!”

Key verses in Step 1…

  • “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”—2 Corinthians 5:7
  • “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”—Romans 8:28
  • “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’”—Isaiah 55:8-9

Step 2. Write down and meditate on these 3 verses.

  • John 10:10

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

To overcome, you must trust that God wants to give you an abundant life. The Son said the thief comes to steal. What is the demonic attack coming to steal from you?

Your blessings of freedom, peace, joy, balance, fulfillment, and confidence. Satan hates these things in the children of God. But Yeshua came to connect you to Father God so that you have abundance and a heavenly perspective.

The Lord wants you to have confidence, joy, passion, and stability—to prosper in these and so much more. The Father then tells us to respond to His blessings with a thankful heart. When we have these things, we can answer our call, as we cannot prosper in what the Lord calls us to do if He does not equip us to do so. These blessings are His ‘equippings.’

  • 1 Peter 5:8

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

The Lord wants you to be aware of the demonic attacks that tend to come at this time of year. The enemy doesn’t want you to place your feet beneath the Father’s table and receive the blessings of divine protection, provision, and prosperity.

The enemy is looking for those who will be offended, those who will quit, and those who won’t believe the Father’s promises. For this reason, commit to staying grounded in your Christ-given identity, and be alert.

  • Matthew 24:43

“But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.”

When the thief comes—the demonic attack—it will pass through the door of emotions. In other words, when we are overwhelmed, exhausted, and tired we can become offended, bitter, and angry.

As a result, we quit or believe vain imaginations. This allows the enemy to steal your promotion. Make a decision right now that you will not allow your emotions to rule in your heart. Instead, put on the mind of Christ and let Him rule in your heart, taking every thought captive and making it obedient to Him.

Step 3. Activate pure faith.

Activate pure faith by loving and trusting the Lord more than loving and trusting yourself, your ideas, humanity, and circumstances. Pure faith is understanding that even when the world seems one way and demonic attacks happen, you have the vision to see past that and into the spirit. You see the shift that is happening and promises that are being released.

The key in this step is growing in stature through suffering. The Word tells us that after we suffer a while, we will be established. The battles we go through are our bread.

We are not to identify with the suffering, as this becomes pride. Rather than identifying with the suffering, we can understand it is part of life and a teacher that instructs us to become more spiritually mature.

We are called to face our fears, and give them to the Lord. This will cause an amount of suffering and discomfort. Yet, after we face our fears, we learn to surrender our control over to the love of Yeshua. He knows best.

So take notice when the Spirit is prompting you to let go and surrender. It may be uncomfortable at the moment, but when we hold tight to something the Lord wants us to let go of, we bring even more intense discomfort later.

Declare right now, “I will not let my emotions rule in my heart. Christ rules in my heart!”

Key verses in Step 3…

  • “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”—1 Peter 5:10
  • “Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established.”—Proverbs 16:3
  • “And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: ‘My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.’”—Hebrews 12:5-6
