Has America Lost Its Foundation and Biblical Heritage?

Why do we do the things we do? Some say it’s nurture while others say it’s nature. Most believe it’s a mixture of the two. However, there is no denying there are unique characteristics that unlock mysteries buried within the strands of our DNA.

Unlocking these mysteries helps us understand what holds us back from receiving blessings, healings, and breakthroughs we desperately long for in our lives. They also open the doors to the secrets of living a life of peace, joy, and prosperity.

But when we fail to search out the identity that makes up our physical and spiritual DNA, we start to become unstable, falling for whatever the “next best thing” is that comes our way. We start to lose sight of the values, beliefs, and morals that our parents and grandparents were raised with.

The tethered strap that connected us with our roots is held together only by a scraggly string when we disconnect from our heritage. We are always only one generation from losing our inheritance. When this happens, we suddenly no longer understand where we are going because we don’t know where we’ve come from.

The Physical DNA Connection

Made in God’s Image

The Bible teaches us that we are made in God’s image. We are all cut from the same cloth. Although no two people are genetically identical, each of us is uniquely made in the image of our Heavenly Father. For this reason, we share connected feelings, desires, goals, and struggles.

When we understand that we have this common heritage, we begin to align with the principles of the One who created us. And any time there are biblical principles used, no matter if they are within the walls of the home, educational settings, business practices, or relationships, there will be prosperity.

As Pastor Ramiro Peña has said, “Whether people understand it or not, these principles are eternal and God ordained.”

Pastor Peña and Curt Landry recently sat down and discussed this very topic. Although growing up in seemingly two different worlds, the men were both brought up with Judeo-Christian, American values. Though not fully aware of it, the foundation of America—its biblical values, principles, and beliefs—pulsed through the veins of their family heritage.

Pastor Peña explains the physical connection between the Sephardic Jews and Latinos…

“So many in the Latin American community have the Sephardic heritage, yet a number of them are unaware. The history is very well documented regarding those with the Sephardic heritage who fled persecution from Spain and settled in Latin America. These people, especially those whose names end with ‘z’ have familial roots in Judaism. Their Jewish roots have led to strong Jewish communities throughout Latin America.”

As a result, when the two men crossed paths, they quickly united in spirit because of the connection of heritage and physical DNA!

The Spiritual DNA Connection

Grafted Together as One New Man

The Bible says that salvation is for both the Jew and the Gentile. It is first given to the Jew, and it is also from the Jew.

So, when we say “Jew and Gentile,” how does this manifest in our nation today? The foundation of our great country was set up on this very principle of Judeo-Christianity. Our spiritual DNA is woven together by the Founding Fathers of our nation.

Jesus paid an eternal price for our salvation, and our nation’s founders paid the price for our freedom in this country.

Now more than ever, as our nation faces such varying views and we are searching for the “next big thing” that makes us feel good—even when it doesn’t always align with what is right. Therefore, we need to begin to search and study the subject of our heritage.

We have a great connection to a blessing that we aren’t even aware of, but when we decide to reclaim it, we make a choice to become realigned with something that doesn’t waver and doesn’t move.

Our preordained destiny is waiting for us to claim. And when we understand our identity and heritage, we take one step closer to understanding our calling.

How Do We Align with Our Heritage?

Educate

We need to educate ourselves about current issues and how they relate to our heritage. When we begin to abandon the values that our nation was built upon, the whole house crumbles.

  • “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock… But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and it fell. And great was its fall.”—Matthew 7:24, 26-27

Encourage

Encouraging our generation, our children, and their children to fight for their heritage, stand for what is right, and hold fast to the Judeo-Christian values that promise prosperity and blessings sets the stage for the future. When we abandon those values, we miss out on the God-ordained blessings of our heritage.

  • “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”—Proverbs 22:6

Elect

We can stand behind leaders, praying for them, and electing those who align with the values of the traditional family, enrich our children’s lives, and begin a movement within a community to reclaim their heritage. This ensures a bright future for our children and our children’s children as we begin to take responsibility and care for ourselves.

  • “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”—Romans 13:1

We Have a Choice to Choose Biblical Values

In this great nation, we have freedom of choice. A choice to align ourselves with our heritage, which leads to blessings. Or a choice to follow non-traditional values that lack biblical principles and wisdom… leading to a path of destruction.

  • “…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”—2 Chronicles 7:14

We can turn things around for the future of America. We can begin to dig and discover what we are made of. And in turn, a door of endless possibilities, prosperity, and peace is opened.

May the floodgates of Heaven open and pour out many blessings! Let’s unite together today and begin a movement for the future!

It’s up to us. It’s up to you. It’s up to the community of Believers. We must stand together and fight for what is true.
