The Spirit is Releasing the Freedom to Honor God from the Governmental Mountain

The freedom to honor God is available to us through Yeshua. Through Jesus Christ, we have the…

  • Freedom to approach the Just Judge (Hebrews 10:9)
  • Freedom to relate to God as His child and heir (Galatians 4:7)
  • Freedom to stand fast against lies that entangle us (Galatians 5:1)

When we believe and activate the freedoms (and many more) available to us through the blood of Yeshua, we honor God and release the manifestation of the Spirit’s power in our sphere of influence. Many people within the 7 mountains of influence are doing that today. The governmental mountain is one of the places where the Spirit is releasing the freedom to honor God–bringing the spiritual reality of freedom from heaven to earth.

Coach Joe Kenney’s Prayers | Supreme Court’s Decision

The Supreme Court recently stated that a Washington state school district violated the First Amendment rights of a high school football coach when he was fired after praying on the 50-yard line after games.

CNN reported that Kennedy started praying for his team after he was hired in 2008, and the movement grew as players started joining him on the field. The school district “grew concerned” and offered him an alternative place to pray in private after the games. Kennedy declined the accommodation and was suspended from the program. Read more here

In the Spirit…

Why was there a growing concern? If you look at the situation from a heavenly perspective, you can see the spiritual warfare behind the situation. It was about an enemy dispising the freedom to honor God. Praying honors God. Boasting in the Lord and not ourselves honors God. Kennedy did both things.

Kennedy told CNN that “every American should be able to have faith in public and not to be worried about being fired over it.” He said his prayers were meant to fulfill a covenant to praise God after every game. “win or lose.”

The words we speak are seeds sown. They will reap a harvest. The question is: Do we want the harvest to be abundant lasting fruit or temporary fake fruit? Activating our freedom to honor God plants seeds will produce lasting fruit.

Speaking words of praise is also a covenant act. Because of the condition of our culture today, many people talk, but the words they speak don’t carry weight. The true definition of “covenant” seems to be lost. So then, when a Believer displays a covenant act, the enemy looks for any reason to persecute. He failed in his attempt with Kennedy.

Therefore, we must pray.

  • Pray intercessory prayers.
  • Pray for the Spirit to continue to release the freedom to honor God.
  • Pray for hearts to turn towards the Father

Religious Educational Institutions | Supreme Court’s Decision

In another recent Supreme Court ruling, Maine has not been allowed to exclude religious schools from a tuition assistance program that provides parents to use vouchers to send their children to public or private schools.

CNN reported…

“Religious conservatives and organizations praised the ruling, including the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America, which filed a brief in the case.

“’This watershed Supreme Court ruling opens the door for our advocacy efforts at the state and local levels in key places like New York, New Jersey, Florida, Pennsylvania and elsewhere,’ said Maury Litwack, executive director of the Orthodox Union’s Teach Coalition.

“Kelly Shackelford, president, CEO, and chief counsel for First Liberty Institute, called the ruling ‘a great day for religious liberty in America.’

“’We are thrilled that the Court affirmed once again that religious discrimination will not be tolerated in this country,’ Shackleford said in a statement. ‘Parents in Maine, and all over the country, can now choose the best education for their kids without fearing retribution from the government.’”

In the Spirit…

Shackleford’s described well what is happening in the spiritual realm, “Religious discrimination will not be tolerated.” In essence, God’s ways will not be mocked.

Therefore, we must praise.

  • Praise God for His power and holiness.
  • Praise God for His sovereignty and plans.
  • Praise God for who He is and what He is doing, even when we cannot see it.

Freedom, Expansion, and Returning…

You don’t have to be fearful in the face of persecution. The Spirit is releasing the freedom to honor God in this hour.

The Supreme Court’s decision to expand religious freedom is a manifestation of what is happening in the spiritual realm. Let us lift up the Name of God and praise Him for the shift that is happening! There will be persecution of every kind that comes up against a Believer.

However, we can have an eternal perspective in the face of persecution knowing…

  • Yeshua has already won the battle
  • We are more than conquerors in Christ
  • If the Son set us free, we are free indeed
  • We are no longer slaves to sin

Romans 5:3-5 says, “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

Rabbi Curt Landry says,

  • “With God’s grace, we have seen positive rulings in our highest court; such a beautiful answer to prayer after so many years of faithful intercession from countless Believers. I believe our nation is returning to her Judeo-Christian roots and America’s founding ideals and documents.”

Yeshua paid the price for your freedom. God is not a man, that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). If God says something about you—that you are free—then any words or actions that speak against this truth are a lie that we do not have to come into agreement with.

These shifts in the spirit are exciting. You will start to notice suddenlies and breakthroughs. Though there will also be reports of “giants in the land” that will bring fear and unbelief, these are only the intimidation tactic of the enemy. Do no fear. Rather feed your faith.

As born-again Believers, we can be glad and rejoice, believing for more shifting and freedom to be released, even if the threat of persecution appears to be present. It is only a pressing, a sifting, and shaking of the things God is removing. God is in control, and we can put our faith in Him.
