Curt Landry Ministries’ Support of the Israeli Army
There are many causes we hold near and dear to us at Curt Landry Ministries, but among the most important is our support of the Israeli army. We love and honor all of those who have the courage to stand up and fight on behalf of those who need protection, including American and Israeli soldiers.
Israeli soldiers in particular need our support. The country is nestled amidst a very turbulent part of the world, where there is constantly political turmoil and the risk for war to strike up at any time. Just last year we saw tensions escalate between Israel and Palestinians, with death tolls mounting higher and higher throughout the summer. It is these Israeli soldiers who bravely step forward to protect their country and its people.

The strength of the IDF derives from the selfless determination and great capabilities of the brave young men and women who leave their homes at the tender age of 18 to uphold the difficult task of defending the State of Israel. For many around the world, one of the most frustrating aspects of the violence in Israel is the seeming inability to help – even in some small way. And while we may not be able to stop the rocket attacks, we can still take action to lift Israel’s spirits and help it contend with an increasingly uncertain situation.

The importance of high-quality footwear for soldiers cannot be understated. Any soldier who has been sent out on deployment will tell you that you have to take care of your feet. The Israeli army does not include footwear in the budget for combat units, so soldiers are left to provide their own shoes. Unfortunately, they often do not have the money to get themselves good quality shoes and boots that would hold up through the elements and protect their feet.
When we go to Israel and see the faces of the soldiers when they receive these gifts, it just reaffirms the importance of this work. Their gratitude for the assistance is so genuine and inspiring.
