If you have watched the news at all in the past several weeks, you have heard words such as…
If you’ve gone to the store, likely you have seen empty shelves, long lines with carts full, and panicked shoppers.
But hear this: While it is crucial to be aware of the times we are in, we do not need to worry or be anxious.
Because God is control and He hears the prayers of His saints.
“Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.”—John 9:31
In Stressful Times…
In stressful times it is easy to get lost in the storm. But Jesus reaches out His hand to you so that you can take ahold of it. When you do, you refocus on God and His will. This positions you to lift up your prayers to the Lord with an expectation of a verdict to be released in your favor.
In stressful times you want to feel the peace and protection of the Lord. This is when you also must persevere past the panic and seek His will.
The way to do this is through prayer. Repent of the emotions and mindsets that are keeping you out of His will. Pray in agreement with His promises of peace and protection.
God’s will, is not for you to be anxious when the world around you is reacting… but instead, to respond with rejoicing in the fact that you are in a divine covenant relationship of protection and peace with Him (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Does this mean there won’t be stressors? No. But it does mean that He provides peace for those who seek Him.
Seeking God’s Will and Spiritual Protection
Be Aware of the Enemy
The enemy has an assignment against us right now. He not only wants us to feel the impact of COVID-19 physicall, but also feel the emotional and financial impact.
Remember, he comes to kill, steal, and destroy all that God has for you. He wants your blessings. He wants your peace. And he will tempt you to step out of God’s protection with doubt, anxiety, and unbelief.
Step into Protection
You have a covenant right, as a son or daughter of the King, to receive blessings of protection and peace. Do you believe this?
If there is a spirit of anxiety and fear that has come over you, in any form, due to the coronavirus, it must be cut-off so that you can step into and experience God’s protection.
1. Start with a Prayer of Repentance
Understand that the Holy Spirit is at work in you right now. He is bringing you to a place to deliver you from a mindset of fear, anxiety, and doubt. The mindset could be new, or it could be magnified due to the climate of our world. Either way, confess and repent of it.
An example of how to start your prayer…
In the name of Yeshua, You have brought me to a place to deliver me from the mindset of fear due to the coronavirus. I have, knowingly or unknowingly, filtered my current circumstances through a lens of fear and anxiety. This impacts the way I see Your sovereignty, grace, mercy, and power. It has robbed me of the peace that You have planned for my life…
2. Come Out of Agreement with Fear
After you have acknowledged and confessed of the mindset that the enemy has used to rob your peace, move your prayer into a time of decreeing that you will not let the spirit of fear attach itself to you.
An example of how to continue praying…
I decree and come out of agreement with the spirit of fear that has attached itself to me and my family during this time. I dismantle it and cast it out. I cancel its assignment on me and my family. It will not prosper any longer.
3. Come into Agreement with God’s Covenant of Peace
Paul wrote to the Philippians, instructing them to lift their prayers and supplications with thanksgiving in their hearts. It would be then that God’s peace would come upon them and guard their hearts and minds through Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:6-7).
In the previous steps, you cleared your heart and mind of negative thoughts. Now it is time to come into agreement and fill your mind with…
“…whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”—Philippians 4:8-9
But if the way is not cleared, the peace of God can not enter. Fully surrender the worry and anxiety, then continue in a prayer of agreement.

An example of how to continue praying….
Father, Your generosity and blessings of protection and peace I speak now. I ask that You cover me with them. I speak Your shalom, over me and my household. You are the One who restores my soul and leads me in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake.
Holy Spirit, come now and bless me with Your holy fire to burn out any lying spirits and renew my mind with your good, pleasing, and perfect will. I pray Your covenant of peace fill my soul and that Your power, which has started a good work in me, finish what was started.
In Yeshua’s mighty Name, I seal it. Amen!
This prayer is not intended to be word for word your prayer, but a way to guide you through repenting of the spirit of fear and anxiety due to the COVID-19 pandemic and coming into agreement with God’s blessings.
The Opportunity God Is Giving You Right Now…
When you come out agreement with fear and anxiety, your vision becomes clearer so that we can see the opportunity of this season.
There is a door open before us and an opportunity for a great harvest of souls if we can but calm our own souls for a moment.
We have an opportunity to sow seeds of love, hope, and salvation. All that we know to be true in the Word is demonstrated in seasons as such of these.
We encourage you to get alone with the Lord during this time and ask Him to reveal to you how the spirit of fear is manifesting. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you, renewing your heart and soul, so that you can step into the protective peace of the Father.
It is a time we can encourage one another and persevere in the faith! The enemy will not overcome God’s children. We will overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!
