Cheshvan & Kislev | Turning Pain into Purpose & Carrying the Light
God is transforming your pain into purpose and calling you to carry His light into the darkness!
When you are in the middle of a storm, it can be difficult to see the calm that is coming. Trials, struggles, and pain can feel the same way. Yet even in the midst of them, God is at work.
He does not change, yet He continually transforms us to become more like Him—aligning our minds, wills, and emotions with His. As James 1:2–4 reminds us, trials produce perseverance, and perseverance matures us so that we may be “perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
November | A Moment with Cheshvan and Kislev Come Together
As we enter November, we move through two significant Hebrew months—Cheshvan and Kislev. What might God’s timing be revealing to us?
Together, these months carry a powerful message: God can transform the pain of your past, establish new patterns of obedience, and prepare you to carry His light into the darkness so others can experience His hope.
Cheshvan | Moving Beyond Pain
Cheshvan is associated with the tribe of Manasseh, whose name speaks of moving beyond the toil and pain of the past. After the Fall Feasts, the celebrations quiet and ordinary routines return. Yet this is often where transformation becomes real.
The proclamations you made, declarations you spoke, and seeds you sowed during the Feasts now have an opportunity to become patterns of obedience. And sometimes, obedience is inconvenient.
The Lord may ask you to choose differently, forgive again, remain faithful when you cannot see the outcome, or continue doing what He told you when returning to something familiar would be easier. Do not allow convenience to become a counterfeit for obedience.
God can transform the pain of old habits and patterns into purpose. As you practice what He has shown you, new choices begin to feel more natural. Even ordinary responsibilities can become holy assignments when surrendered to Him.
This is why faithfulness protects your spiritual potential. Each choice is an opportunity to ascend rather than regress—to continue becoming who God has called you to be.

Kislev | Trusting for Miracles and Light
Then we enter Kislev—a month of trust, miracles, and light.
As the natural days grow darker, Kislev reminds us that God has called His people to carry His light into dark places. His Word becomes a lamp to our feet, His presence our place of rest, and His faithfulness teaches us to trust Him through uncertain seasons.
- “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.’” —Genesis 1:14
God establishes times and seasons with purpose. This is an opportunity to allow Him to strengthen and establish you for what lies ahead in 5787 and 2027. But His light was never meant to stop with us. We receive His light so we can carry His light.
To Our Partners
If you have partnered with us through prayer or financial giving, you are already carrying His light into the darkness—and your Kingdom impact matters.
Your prayers and generosity help carry biblical truth to those searching for identity and purpose, bring practical care and encouragement to people in Israel, and equip Believers to understand their covenant inheritance and walk boldly in their Kingdom assignments.
The seeds you sow through prayer, generosity, and faithful obedience can become part of someone else’s miracle.

Just as Cheshvan reminds us that ordinary obedience can become a holy assignment, your faithfulness is something God can use far beyond what you may ever see. And as Kislev calls us to carry light into darkness, together, we carry the hope of Yeshua to those who need it.
This month, ask the Lord:
“Father, what are You establishing in me, and how do You want it to flow through me to bless someone else?”
Thank you for standing with us—sowing, praying, and carrying His light to Israel and the nations.
May the Lord redeem the pain of the past, establish you in obedience, strengthen your faith, and use your life to carry His light.
