Ways to Support Israel and Why It Matters

Share with your family and friends:

Israel has been at war on multiple fronts–what we see manifest in the physical reveals a spiritual war that has been raging for thousands of years. As One New Man Believers, we recognize the critical role Israel plays not only in end-time prophecy, but in the fullness of our spiritual story and the inheritance we’ve been grafted into. Let’s look at ways Israel has blessed the nations, and will continue to, and ways you can support Israel today–spiritually and practically.

How Israel Has Blessed YOU Spiritually

The Bible says that when we bless Israel, we will be blessed (Genesis 12:3). This is because through Israel, God’s blessing flows to all other people. He’s called Israel to be a light to the nations. God told Abraham, “In your seed, all the nations of the earth shall be blessed because you have obeyed My voice” (Genesis 22:18). This has past, present, and future meaning.

Israel has blessed the world through Jesus the Messiah – Yeshua HaMashiach – the fulfillment of the law and prophets and the long-awaited Savior. It was Jewish disciples and apostles who spread the gospel to the nations through their writing, preaching, and sacrifice. Though not all Jewish people understood who Jesus was, and many still do not today, that is changing rapidly.

In Romans 11, Paul speaks of Israel’s return to a full understanding of their Messiah and how this will also bring spiritual blessings to the nations. As Paul prophesied:

  • I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! …For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?” –Romans 11:11-12, 15 (emphasis added)

The revival the nations ache for is directly connected to God’s work among the Jewish people. Israel receiving her Messiah will be as life from the dead for all people.

Set Apart To Be a Blessing

Israel remains central to Jesus’ ministry of reconciliation and redemption around the world. God called Israel to be a light to the nations, not to be like the nations. Yet Israel has struggled, as do we, to grasp their true identity in the God of Israel and in their Messiah Yeshua.

From the time of the kings, they have battled the desire to be like the world, even as the world has consistently rejected and betrayed them. Through this pain, God is drawing Israel back to Himself and to their true identity–to proclaim the light and salvation of the One True God to all people.

Ways to Support Israel | Declare Her True Identity

The warfare against Israel’s identity and existence has been waged by Satan himself. This has always been true, but in the past two years, it has become undeniable.

In the aftermath of October 7th, Jewish and Arab Israelis have battled trauma and unspeakable grief, as the horrors of that day linger in every heart, home, and conversation.

Rabbi Curt Landry stood among the ruins of one of the kibbutz shortly after the attack. What occurred is nothing short of satanic.

We have seen the mental toll of the war affect every outreach we have in Israel. Rising hatred from the nations, fueled by propaganda and blood libel, exposes Satan’s attempt to delegitimize the scriptures and Israel’s true identity.

These multifront attacks have caused a gaping wound. As Jeremiah declared over Israel in Lamentations 2:13 (emphasis added), Your wound is as deep as the sea. Who can heal you?”

Who can heal Israel? Truly, only the God of Israel. And we have already seen the power of hope and resilience as this overwhelming warfare has drawn broken hearts under His wings for refuge.

God’s eternal covenant remains, and His promises will come to pass. Beauty will come up from these ashes. Israel’s righteousness and salvation through Jesus will shine like the dawn (Isaiah 62). And you can be a part of it

You have the power through the Holy Spirit to speak life, love, and peace over the Holy Land.  In your prayers, declarations, conversations with friends and family, you are a Kingdom ambassador for truth and God’s purposes.

Truth To Declare About Israel’s Identity and Yours:

  1. The State of Israel is God’s prophetic miracle. God planted the Jewish people in their historic homeland “with all His heart and with all His soul” (Jeremiah 32:41). Israel’s existence is the fulfillment of prophecy and testament to God’s eternal covenant. Because He won’t break His covenant with Israel, He won’t break His covenant with you!
  2. Israel is called to be a light to the nations. Israel today is a diverse and integrated society, representing a wide range of ethnicities and backgrounds. God’s plan has always been to bless the nations through Israel. Because of Israel’s light, we were introduced to the Messiah and are called to share in the mission of being the Light of the World through Yeshua!
  3. Salvation in Israel means end-time revival. Paul declares in Romans 11 that when the Jewish people return to their Messiah, it will be as “life from the dead” for all people. As Believers, we long for a worldwide revival—but many miss that Israel remains a central part of how that revival will unfold. When you pray for salvation for Israel, you’re also praying for salvation for the nations!

Prayers for Israel | Supernatural Love and Salvation

Israel is mentioned in the Bible over 2500 times. As we pray for the nation and people of Israel, the Scriptures are filled with history, insight, and revelation to guide our intercession. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you passages He wants you to pray, study, and declare. Praying God’s Word back to Him is a powerful way to stay aligned with His heart and will.

Here are some prayer points and scriptures to help you pray for Israel today:

  • Mental health and healing from trauma: The emotional and spiritual impact of the war has been detrimental. Please pray for an emotional and spiritual covering over the people of Israel. Pray for the Balm of Gilead to cover them mind, body, and spirit as God binds up their wounds (Jeremiah 8:22, Psalm 147:3).
  • Supernatural love: Satan has unleashed an assignment of hatred against Israel and the Jewish people. Antisemitism is on the rise at an alarming rate. Pray against the spirit of hatred in all its forms. Pray for Jewish and Arab people to experience the supernatural love of Yeshua, who has loved them with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).
  • Salvation: Pray for Jewish hearts to come home to Yeshua, Jesus, their long-awaited Messiah. Pray for Muslim and Arab people to have dreams and encounters with Jesus and experience salvation. This is already underway, as beautiful stories emerge of Jewish and Arab hearts coming home to Jesus and to one another. God is moving powerfully in the Middle East, proving love is stronger than hate (Romans 10:1, Romans 11:26, Acts 4:12, Proverbs 10:12).
  • Wisdom for Israel’s leaders: Pray for Israel’s leaders to have wisdom and discernment, that they would not be motivated by the world’s pressure, but by what God is saying and who He has declared Israel to be (Proverbs 1:5, Joshua 24:15).

How to Bless Israel Practically

There is much physical need in Israel, and an opportunity to bless Israelis practically. Through our initiatives supporting Holocaust survivors, lone soldiers, and boys and girls’ Safe House programs, you can make a positive impact in the lives of those who need it most.

Holocaust survivors, experiencing intense PTSD in light of October 7th and rising antisemitism, are reminded they are not alone through the provision of gifts, meals, and other basic needs.

Lone soldiers who have no family support feel the love of the family of God through faithful support and prayers.

Young men and women taking refuge in Safe Houses receive the care, provision, and protection they need – their lives changed forever because of obedience to Jesus’ instruction, “what you do to the least of these, my brethren, you do unto me.” (Matthew 25:40)

When you bless Israel practically, you bring honor to those who feel isolated and forgotten, echoing the hope of God’s promise, “I will not forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15-16)

Combatting BDS | Supporting Israeli Business

Another practical way to support Israel is through buying Israeli goods. The impact of the war and BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) has affected Israel’s economy, local businesses, artisans, and farmers. We combat this by coming alongside Israeli families, supporting their business and livelihood.

Flower Fields and Olive Groves | Vision and Redemption

We were blessed to partner with the Bitan family, whose story is one of resilience, restoration, and hope. After moving to Israel in the 1940s, the Bitans established a flower farm, producing beautiful arrangements and selling primarily to European vendors.

When the BDS movement took off in the early 2000s, their business came to a screeching halt. Facing bankruptcy, the future looked hopeless, but the Bitan family persevered, holding onto the land of their forefathers, believing in the promises of God.

Through God’s divine purpose, we came into contact with the Bitan family and learned there was more to this story. Mr. Bitan’s father had a dream that their family was to be part of the prophecy of harvesting pure olive oil for the third temple.

Stepping out in faith together, this vision became a reality as people from all around the world rallied to sponsor trees, transforming the Bitan’s once-forsaken farmland into a beautiful olive grove. Olive oil now flows in abundance from their miracle grove, speaking of God’s faithfulness to His Word and promises!

The Swords of Iron Memorial Grove | Plant for Hope. Plant to Remember.

In addition to working with the Bitan family, we were invited to establish a memorial grove in Israel, right outside of Jerusalem, to honor lives lost in the Israel-Hamas war. The grove has already made a powerful impact in the heart of Israel, as each tree speaks of legacy and a life never forgotten.

When you plant an olive tree in honor of a life lost, you speak to Israel, “May the memory of your fallen be a blessing.” In a world that has turned a blind eye to their tragedy, you proclaim you see them. You see their pain. You see their loved ones who were cruelly taken. You echo God’s promise of hope and restoration.

A City Not Forsaken | Israel’s Future Glory

In the face of the world’s cruelty and a raging enemy, Israel may sometimes feel forsaken, but God will never leave or forsake her, just as He will never leave or forsake you. Isaiah 62 declares Israel’s future redemption and glory–her true identity as the Beloved of God. May we speak these promises over Israel. May they be our declaration:

For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.

The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord will name. You shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.

You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; For the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married…

You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

…Indeed the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the world: “Say to the daughter of Zion, Surely your salvation is coming; Behold, His reward is with Him, And His work before Him.’ ” And they shall call them The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord; and you shall be called Sought Out, a City Not Forsaken.” —Isaiah 62:1-4, 6-7 & 11-12 (emphasis added)

A city not forsaken– a praise in the earth. This is God’s future for Israel and for those grafted in. This is our story. This is our hope.

When you support Israel spiritually and practically, you are aligning with Israel’s Kingdom destiny–and yours. So do not be afraid and do not remain silent. Speak, pray, stand, and watch as God’s Word comes to pass. For Zion’s sake, choose courage. Choose to trust and partner with our Covenant-Keeping God!
