The Connection | The Cyrus Anointing and the Wealth Transfer

In this hour, we cannot be weak. We must be strong in the Lord. We need an anointing that brings discernment, knowing where and how to sow our time, tasks, and activities. If we want to receive the riches from the Lord, we need to also receive the Cyrus anointing.

But know this: The Cyrus anointing is not for everyone. This is an anointing that is comfortable in confrontation. The Cyrus anointing is bold… Are you ready? If you are ready to receive the Cyrus anointing, then sow where you want to grow. Be ready to be bold, not willing to stand for anything other than who and what the Lord stands for.

5 Characteristics of the Cyrus Anointing

1. A Battle-Ax

Jeremiah 51:20 reads,You are My battle-ax and weapons of war: for with you I will break the nation in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms;” (emphasis added)

This is not a lighthearted word. If you want to receive the Cyrus anointing and want to move mightily in the hour of the transfer of wealth, you must be willing to understand the battle-ax characteristic.

This means you are God’s weapon of warfare. He intends to fight through you, using your hands to bring down the enemy and uproot strongholds. This is a judgment against everything that is against God. However, remember that judgment is a friend of those who desire a right standing with God.

The Cyrus anointing understands God’s judgment. The Lord is looking for those who would come against Babylonian thinking and do His work, revealing His power, wisdom, and understanding.

Key Takeaway

  • The Cyrus anointing is also God’s battle-ax, a sharp weapon of warfare willing to be used by God to break the nations into pieces.

2. A Stirred-Up Spirit

Ezra 1:1-2 reads, “Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

“Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:

“All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.” —Ezra 1:1-2 (emphasis added)

Cyrus was “stirred up in the spirit” because it was God’s time to bring the prophecy to pass. God used Cyrus to proclaim a word throughout the kingdom that it was time to build.

Key Takeaway

  • Receiving the Cyrus anointing means that you will be actively involved in fulfilling prophecy through your time, money, prayer, proclamations, decrees, and the works of your hands.

3. A Tie to Zion

Ezra 1:3-4 reads, “Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the men of his place help him with silver and gold, with goods and livestock, besides the freewill offerings for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.” (emphasis added)

Please hear this: The time to stand with Zion is now. In this hour, everything tied to Zion will prosper and everything not tied to Zion will be subject to judgment.

To transfer the wealth out of the devil’s hand and into the Kingdom of God you need to understand the Cyrus anointing. The Lord is God and Jerusalem shall not be divided.

Key Takeaway

  • The Cyrus anointing understands that the transfer of wealth is tied to Zion. The anointing equips you to “go up and build” with complete provision for God’s nation.

4. A Liberator

Isaiah 45:13 reads, “‘I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; he shall build My city and let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward,’ says the Lord of hosts.” (emphasis added)

God raised up Cyrus at a key strategic time to liberate the Jewish people from Babylonian bondage. Many in Israel and around the world need to be liberated from Babylonian thinking.

Your job is not to convert, it is to communicate. The Word of God, His Holy Spirit, does the work. But those who are in bondage to Babylonian thinking need to be set free.

Key Takeaway

  • Those with a Cyrus anointing must actively seek to liberate thinking that does not align with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—starting with Israel.

5. A Restorer

Isaiah 45:3 reads,I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.” (emphasis added)

The very night that Cyrus conquered Babylon, he took possession of every treasure of the Babylonian city—including the Jewish Temple treasures. God wanted Cyrus to know that He had given it to him, and Cyrus decreed the stolen items to be returned to Solomon’s Temple. Furthermore, Cyrus’ decree provided all the wealth and resources needed to rebuild the temple and the walls of Jerusalem. What had been stolen was restored!

Key Takeaway

  • The Cyrus anointing restores what had been stolen. If you are under the Cyrus anointing, you not only restore, but understand it is by the arm of the Lord that blessings, riches, and treasures are given.

Again, the Cyrus anointing is not for the faint-hearted. It is a bold calling that is comfortable and confident in the Lord when faced with conflicting ideas and opinions. The Cyrus anointing carries much responsibility and is tied to Zion.

Cyrus was anointed by God and received great wealth and resources to fulfill prophecy. He was willing to be God’s battle-ax in that hour… Are you?
