Give the Greatest Gift | A Future of Hope
Support Young People in Israeli Safe Houses. Give a Young Person a New Story and a New Life.
How do you choose a direction for your life when it seems like everything so far has been out of your control? You’ve never been given a chance to thrive because all you know is how to survive. You weren’t able to choose a career or a job for your future because you were consumed with thoughts of just getting through tomorrow.
You never chose for your father to leave or your mother to die.
Yet these painful circumstances are all you know. Now, you’ve reached an age when you have a choice: to repeat the pattern of brokenness in your past, or to do something different. But what?
Today you’ve been given an opportunity that was never there before—a choice to step out in faith because someone extended a helping hand to you across your fragmented path.
Faithful partners, this is a decision that young people in Israel are able to make when they have the support they need.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”—Jeremiah 29:11
Can You Relate?
Those Who Know…
To some of you who are reading this, it sounds all too familiar. You know the pain and the hurt of a broken past and the ease with which it can pull you down a path of destruction.
You have a unique gift to give—a gift of empathy, love, and freedom. These young people need to know that individuals like you stand by them, that there truly are people who have overcome all odds. You can give them hope for a future freed from the pain of their past.
Those Who Sow…
Others who are reading this have served as the helping hand that’s reached out to one in need. You’ve been used as an instrument of God to speak truth, give hope, and sow security in the life of another. Because of you, a life was saved.
Because of you, a young person is no longer worried about what they need to do to survive; they have been given an opportunity to thrive—and they chose it. As a result, they stepped into a new season—one that has been marked with life, love, and opportunity.
No Matter Who You Are…
Whichever side of the path you are on, you have a heart that longs to see a change made in a young person’s life. They might not see their potential yet, but you do.
God has placed a stirring in your soul to be the change and to sow a seed that will give a future of hope for these young people.
There is a young man out there right now, waiting to grab hold of a hand, to choose a different path. But he can’t grasp it if it’s not given.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”—2 Corinthians 1:3-4
These Young People Are Israel’s Future and Hope
You understand God’s people have a unique role in His plan, and the young people of Israel are the future agents that God will use to carry out His plan.
Those who have overcome adversity and pain are uniquely equipped for God’s assignments. They can fight both spiritual and physical battles.
But again, many are not even aware of the special gifts and assignments God has for them because others have yet to respond to the call to plant a seed that another will water, and that God will increase.

How do you know the lives you sow into will be changed?
Shalom’s story…
Shalom is a young man whose father left his family at a young age. He, along with his ten siblings, bounced from city-to-city and school-to-school. His mom did what she could, but taking care of ten children was overwhelming, to say the least.
His brother Chaim was like a father to him. Sadly, Chaim took his own life under the pressure of filling a role that wasn’t his to fill.
Shalom was 11 years old at the time and was left devastated. He began to engage in criminal activity and use drugs and alcohol to dull the pain.
Circumstances continued to press in. An event landed Shalom’s sister in a coma for 1 year and 8 months, eventually leading to her death.
This child, who has suffered loss unlike any other, felt he had no choice but to push back the pain through destructive choices. He felt alone. No one was there when he needed to feel the love of the Father the most.
A year had passed, and he moved into one of the Curt Landry Ministries Boys’ Safe Houses. At first, the adjustment was too much. Just like many of us, the past pulled him back to a place of familiarity, although it was full of despair.
He longed to go back to his friends, as those were who he identified as his family.
The Awakening
While with his friends, God touched Shalom’s heart. He began to understand he needed something different if he wanted to live and have a future of hope. He then returned to the Curt Landry Ministries Boys’ Safe House.
Because of supporters like you, Shalom found a place of refuge during the storms of his life. He was able to accept the hand that extended out to the waters, and he was pulled ashore.
It is only because of YOU that Sholom found that safe place in a Safe House.
His life has not been easy, and though his past continues to press in, he is now able to see the opportunity for life and love, when before it was covered by the overgrown brush along his path.
You’ve uncovered a new life for him. And now he can move forward and speak into the life of another young man. He can sow seeds that you can water with prayer and giving through our boys’ Safe House sponsorship.
The 10,000–12,000 Children in Israeli Foster Care
There are 10,000-12,000 children in the Israeli foster care system. Most of these children come from broken homes with backgrounds of sexual abuse, violence, and neglect. When these foster children turn 18 years old, the Israeli government ends their support, leaving most of these young people to fend for themselves—out in the world without the guidance and support of loving and caring individuals.
These young men need a loving hand, not only to make good choices for their future, but to understand they have a choice.
Curt Landry Ministry Boys’ Safe House sponsorships offer a unique foundation for these young men. Currently, we have an apartment in Jerusalem and have recently added, due to your generous donations, another one in Tel Aviv.
But there are still more lives that need a hero!
Because of your generous heart, these young men who live in the Curt Landry Ministries Boys’ Safe Houses receive…
- The support they need to overcome their past through counseling
- The job training necessary to find and keep employment and contribute to society
- The physical nourishment and care they need so they can focus on thriving rather than surviving
- A sense of family as they develop relationships with those who are living there, and the house parents who can guide them
- The love of the Father
Do you want to give these young men a chance for a new story and a new life—a chance that gives the opportunity for dry bones to receive living water?
They can’t receive if it isn’t given. Be a part of a movement that is changing young lives, restoring the nation of Israel, and bringing hope to the world.
“But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.”
—Isaiah 40:31
