“’I have loved you,’ says the Lord. ‘Yet you say, ‘In what way have You loved us?’”—Malachi 1:2
Malachi records the Word of the Lord when He confronts His people with truth, correction, and covenant love. From the priests who dishonored His name and the people who grew weary in their faith to the promise of judgment and restoration—God speaks clearly:
- He is a Father deserving honor.
- He is a Master worthy of reverence.
- He does not change.
- He keeps covenant.
- He calls us to return.
“’Return to Me, and I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” —Malachi 3:7
God declares that He will rebuke the devourer, open the windows of heaven, and pour out blessings for those who honor Him.
He promises to make His faithful ones His jewels, and draws a clear line between the righteous and the wicked.
He reminds us: the Day is coming.
