Strengthen Your Family with Prayer

Praying with your family releases protection over them.It’s important to activate spiritual protection over your family. Think about the legacy you want to leave your children and grandchildren. How can you start to pray prayers of protection around that legacy so it will be manifested throughout the generations?The Bible says that a good man leaves an inheritance to his children and grandchildren (Proverbs 13:22). This doesn’t mean just a financial inheritance, but an inheritance of faith as well.This also includes leaving a spiritual inheritance for those who aren’t your children. What messages of faith do you want to send to your aunts, uncles, in-laws, and nieces and nephews?In short, the seeds you sow into the lives of anyone in your family matter. Those seeds will produce fruit. And while the seeds will take time to bloom, they will produce a harvest, nonetheless. What kind of harvest do you want your family to reap?The enemy wants you to think that the relationships you have with your extended family members don’t matter. He whispers lies that say, “You don’t need to care about them as much as those in your home.” His lie twists the word “care.” The care you give to your extended family members will look different compared to the care you give to your spouse, children, or even parents. However, God tells you to love others fervently, which means enthusiastic and passionately, as this type of love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).To love others fervently, begin praying fervent prayers.“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
