There is an industry that brings in 186 billion dollars in revenue annually… It is also one of the most emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and physically scarring epidemics in our world today—it is human trafficking, and the effects are more widespread than we can comprehend.
For anyone who has suffered abuse, exploitation, or coercion, it is a confusing snare that drains hope from the soul. Many times, the victims of sex trafficking are young children and girls who are completely unaware of the detriment that lies ahead.
Every act of oppression, abuse, and exploitation is like a slowly dripping faucet that adds more hurt, more pain, and more confusion with every bead of water that falls. Until, eventually, that small bead of water becomes a steady stream of tears that makes its way down a young girl’s face, clearing a path in the dirt and dust that covers her cheek.
It’s heartbreaking to think that these young boys and girls, most only 14 years old—babies themselves—are robbed of so much more than their innocence. They’ve been robbed of hope, joy, and love. They’ve each lived through and been a witness to corruption at the highest level and in the darkest hour.
But they don’t have to have their future stolen from them. It can stop now, today—with YOU.
The horrific stories of human trafficking are nearly too graphic for us on this side to hear and watch, but we can’t forget the young people on the other side who live it out daily.
You want to help. You want to give hope. You want to make a real impact on their lives… but how?
Become a Covenant Partner today and donate to help victims of human trafficking!
Recently, we asked our Covenant Partners what hurt and need they saw in our world that was closest to their hearts. We wanted to provide a way for their voices to be heard and allow them to be the light that shines through the brokenness in an individual life that desperately needs a glimmer of hope.
Our Covenant Partners answered—and we at Curt Landry Ministries listened.
Human trafficking is real in Israel
This 186 billion-dollar industry makes its ugly mark in every corner of the world.
- The average age of a sex trade victim is 14 years old
- There are an estimated 17,500 young people being prostituted today
- It is a 500 million-dollar industry
You have a real chance to change a life and break a cycle. Many of the girls who aren’t rescued from this dark underground world are doomed to pass on the vicious cycle to others—because they are faced with no other choice.
They don’t know another way. They don’t know of the hope that can be theirs. They don’t know there is someone out there like you who wants to give them a lifeline that can change the trajectory of their life.
How can they see light if all they’ve known is darkness? You are the light they need this season!
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”—Matthew 5:14-16
Yotzrot (Turning Tables)
Because of our Covenant Partners, we’ve been able to partner with an organization named Yotzrot (Turning Tables) in Israel that rescues these young people from the depths of human trafficking and provides them a home, an education, and a chance to choose a different life. The girls at Yotzrot begin to discover who they really are and that they were created for so much more.
They don’t have to identify any longer as a slave of prostitution, but they get a chance to rewrite their story.
Listen to the redemption story above about a young girl who graduated from Yotzrot and got a chance at a different life.
Our Covenant Partners are able to provide hot meals to these women daily. This is something they didn’t receive often enough living on the streets. It’s something they treasure because they know it is what sustains them and helps them continue to grow—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
The hot meal is one of the most basic needs that often gets overlooked. It says to these young women, “You are safe. There is hope. Someone loves you and wants to bless you.”
Safety is the most beautiful gift you can give these young girls this season. These women don’t know what it feels like to be safe. They don’t know what it’s like not to worry. The food you provide nourishes their souls.
The Lord will not put your light under a basket—He gifted you with it so that you can use it to make the darkness scatter.
Will you join our Covenant Partner team today? Together, our bright light will shine like that city on a hill. And with every added flame, the fire gets more brilliant and harder to extinguish.
Place that light of hope in someone today—become a Covenant Partner and share the covenant of peace and provision to these young women. They need you now more than ever.
Together we can stop the darkness and be the light!
