7 Ways YOU Can Directly Impact a Life and Support Israel Today!

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1616688767304{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]What makes us human? Is it our distinctly different nature from that of the rest of creation? Is it our ability to reason and choose good over evil? Maybe it’s all of these. We want to challenge you with another aspect of humanness.

The unique gift the Lord and Creator has bestowed on us is to care for those around us—to care for those whom He loves, who have been made in His image, and who have been created by Him for a unique purpose.

Our humanness reflects the attributes of God…

“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…’ So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”—Genesis 1:26-27[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

We Can Impact Lives Because We Are Loved

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1550781558607{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]We have the ability to develop a greater understanding of God, His complex design, and the reason He calls us to love others.

We love because we were made in His image and He first loved us (see 1 John 4:16, 19). We are able to show compassion to the hurting and needy, be faithful to His calling, and sow into the lives of others to reap a harvest of 30, 60, 100-fold or more![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Unfortunately…

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1550781742077{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]The unfortunate part is that many of us who can help… choose not to. Although God has given us a choice to be partakers in His plan, we sell ourselves short. We think our contributions won’t matter. We wonder if we can really make that much of a difference. And many times we even think, “If God wants to help them, He can find someone other than me.”

But here’s the thing—YOU are who He wants to use! YOU are part of His great and complex design! Not only will He use YOU to bless others, but He will also bless YOU in return!

So, don’t get sidetracked by the “What-ifs” or the “Won’t Matters,” because God wants to bring you into the course of restoration for His creation and His people. He has plans for you that impact the plans He has for someone else.

See, your story matters as much as the one you help. You are not powerless but empowered and equipped by the Holy Spirit to move mountains and bring Heaven to Earth.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Why Should Christians Support Israel?

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1550781832890{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Let’s not forget that the foundations of our Christian faith are in the roots and traditions of the Jewish faith. When there was talk of the United States Embassy in Israel moving from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, reports everywhere began to emerge about the fulfillment of end-time prophecy.

In one poll taken in response to the Embassy’s planned move on May 14, 2018 (on Israel’s 70th anniversary), it was said that more evangelical Christians are speaking out about supporting Israel.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

There are 3 major reasons Christians give for supporting Israel:

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1550781989221{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

  1. The Bible says that God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people.
  2. God pledged the land to Abraham, and it is the historic Jewish homeland.
  3. Israel’s existence is necessary for fulfilling biblical prophecy.

The same poll found that nearly 80% of evangelical Christians believed that the establishment of the Jewish state in 1948 was a fulfillment of biblical prophecy that would jump-start many events leading to Christ’s return.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

Consider what the Bible says about supporting Israel

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1550859420277{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Jesus told His disciples that Israel would be restored with the help of the Church.

  • “…‘Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?’… ‘It is not for you to know the times or seasons which the Father has put in His own. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’”—Acts 1:6-8

The disciples knew from Old Testament prophecy that there would be a national and spiritual restoration of Israel. Jesus then explained to them that Believers in Him would have a part of Israel’s restoration.

God calls Christians to comfort Israel.

  • “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned…”—Isaiah 40:2
  • “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces.’”—Psalm 122:6-7

God tells the Body of Christ to speak tenderly to and pray for His people. This is a call for Christians to comfort the Jewish people. God says that Christians will nurture the Jewish people and facilitate spiritual and physical restoration.

Believers are not to simply observe what the Lord is doing with the nation of Israel; He invites us to get involved![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

How Can I Support Israel?

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1589490279405{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Now it’s your turn. How will you respond to the needs of God’s people and this crucial moment of end-time prophecy fulfillment?

Here are 7 ways to get involved—to make a difference today in order to fulfill and restore tomorrow:

1.   Christians Help Victims of Human Trafficking—

There is an industry that brings in 186 billion dollars in revenue annually. It is also one of the most emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and physically scarring epidemics in our world today—it is human trafficking, and the effects are more widespread than we can comprehend.

Go HERE to discover more about how your covenant partnership directly provides basic needs for those who have been impacted by human trafficking.

2.  Christians Sponsor an Olive Tree in the Holy Land—

The olive tree symbolizes abundance, life, blessing, harvest, and so much more in the Bible. When you think about how the Lord uses the olive tree to express the relationship we can have with Him—by being grafted-in—the olive tree is no longer a simple plant but a mighty, ancient tree that nourishes and blesses the soil of the Promised Land.

Go HERE to discover more about the significant role the olive tree plays in Israel’s restoration and how each one impacts generations year-after-year.

3.   Christians Honor Holocaust Survivors—

After living through the Holocaust, many survivors today in Israel find themselves all alone and without basic needs in their older years. An estimated 180,000 Holocaust survivors are living in Israel today. Of those, at least 70,000 struggle to maintain an independent life.

The terrible conditions they live in subject them to cold discomforts and empty stomachs every day. It’s unfortunate that so many have become accustomed to ways of living that we would never adopt for ourselves.

Many do not have access to running water, warm food and holiday meals, transportation to doctor’s appointments, and basic grooming necessities.

Go HERE to find out how you can pour love into these precious lives through meeting basic needs and giving them a place to enjoy even the simplest pleasures of warm food.

4.   Christians Support Israeli Defense Forces—those Who Defend Israel’s Borders—

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spend their time defending the nation of Israel. On the flip side, it’s difficult for many to take care of their families as they take care of their nation. This is why supporting the IDF by providing basic needs, such as meals, means so much to these soldiers.

This is an honorable and virtuous way to stand in solidarity with the Jewish nation as you become the hero of Israel’s heroes.

Go HERE to discover more about this noble cause that impacts lives and Israel as a whole.

5.   Christians Support Young Adults in Foster Care through Safe Houses in Israel—

More than 12,000 Israeli children are living in family foster care or residential group center situations throughout Israel. Most of these children come from broken homes with backgrounds of sexual abuse, violence, and neglect.

When these foster children turn 18 years old, the Israeli government ends their support, leaving most of these young people to fend for themselves—out in the world without the guidance and support of loving and caring individuals.

Go HERE to learn more about how, in partnership with Curt Landry Ministries, you can change the lives of these young men and women and give them a second chance at big dreams.

6.   Christians Meeting Needs During Coronavirus Pandemic—

As you know, meeting the needs of God’s people during difficult times is part of our call as Believers. Putting action to our faith positions us to be powerful ambassadors for the Lord.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Believers stepped up. Seeds of hope were sown into lives of Holocaust survivors by making necessary adjustments with food preparation, deliveries, and providing masks and sanitation supplies.

7. Christians Unite in Powerful Prayer—

As Believers, we have joined together and continue to unite in prayer. You know it’s powerful. You’ve experienced and witnessed breakthroughs of your own. The prayers you provide for the people of Israel are moving the nation.

The armor of God shatters principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. And that armor—that protection—is activated by prayer.

“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”—Ephesians 6:17-18

You have taken your support, gifts, service, and love and put them into action with prayer. So, let your prayers never waver or cease!
