How You Can Discover Your Godly Strengths
There are times for all of us where we feel incredibly small in this large world. In these times of discomfort, it is important for us to remember that each one of us has been uniquely gifted by God to carry out His works, and that all of us are given our own unique gifts and strengths.
God wants us to explore, understand, and to use these strengths to bring about His glory. A central part of our mission at Curt Landry Ministries is to encourage and assist all Believers in finding these gifts within themselves. In doing so, they can fulfill their purpose to spread the Gospel and help bring restoration to the world until the Messiah comes again.
What many Believers do not understand is that these strengths are not something you need to acquire. God has already equipped you with these characteristics that will help you fulfill His mission in your own way. You simply need to find them within yourself and become attuned to them.
This is, of course, easier said than done for many of us. It’s easy to get bogged down and distracted by the things we feel like we’re doing wrong, or the ways in which we feel we are inadequate. Many times we are our own worst critics, and this keeps us from fulfilling our own potential. The minute we start believing we can’t, is the minute that becomes a reality.
Romans 12:4-6 says the following: For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them.
This passage perfectly describes the way each of us is gifted and the way all of our own differing gifts create one beautiful function through God’s grace.
Maybe you are extremely creative. Maybe you are known for your friendship and loyalty. Maybe you have a heart for justice. Whatever your gifts, seek to discover how God wants you to use them.
