Suicide of a Loved One
Have You Lost a Loved One?
The pain of losing a loved one can seem unbearable at times. Grief is a spiritual battle. It’s as if the waves of emotions come and go, leaving you to pick up the broken pieces of hurt that lay in the sand.
While you may not understand the why, you can break the assignment of excess grief that the enemy places on you.
Grief is a healthy and normal process, but the enemy wants to keep those emotions coming back to prevent you from moving on.
He uses this struggle to shame and guilt you. It is for this reason you need to take up your armor and break the enemy’s assignment of death.
How to Break the Assignment of Grief
Step 1: Start by praying the blood of Jesus. What does this mean? The blood of Jesus speaks on your behalf. His blood speaks life. His blood was poured out for you to have abundant life.
“… to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.”—Hebrews 12:24
When we pray the blood of Jesus, a supernatural power is released, and the enemy knows it. Start praying and giving thanks to God for all that the blood has overcome in your life.
Step 2: Check out the resources below. We’ve developed resources for you to use during your personal time. Use them as a springboard into your study and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as to how to use them for deeper healing.
Step 3: Meditate and declare God’s Word. The only way to overcome the enemy is with the Word. If you want to break the assignment of excess grief on your life, start every day by declaring a life-giving Word. The Bible tells us that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. The sword cuts off the assignment.
Being confident in the Word allows you to use it effectively. If you are having difficulty believing God’s Word, pray for faith to be activated today!
- “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’”—Mark 9:23:24
