Marriage Takes Work.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1580314301680{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Marriage is something that takes continual work. Every marriage goes through ups and downs. The reason is that each person is going through changes and seasons of their own.The enemy uses arguments and disagreements in your marriage to make you lose sight of what the corporate relationship needs and desires, according to God’s will. Satan uses these times to shift your focus from God’s desire for your marriage to your desire for your spouse to change. The key to a strong marriage is a decision to serve your spouse. This isn’t always easy, especially if you have felt betrayed or hurt in the past. But, if you desire restoration in your marriage, you must decide that you will stop putting your expectations on your spouse and instead decide to pray for, serve, and honor your husband or wife. How do you do this?[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_custom_heading text=”How to Break the Assignment of Discord in Your Marriage” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%2328377b” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1582221317251{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Step 1: Start by praying for your spouse. Some marriages can become incredibly conflicted. Strife ensues as hurt happens. So, while it may seem easy to say, “Pray for your spouse,” we understand it requires intentional faith and continued support.Jesus said, “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you…” (Matthew 5:44). This is not our natural tendency. However, we encourage you to start praying for your spouse to grow closer to the Lord. As your spouse grows closer to God, they will also find healing in areas where they have been hurt. Have compassion and patience during this season. As a result, healing will begin to take place in your marriage. Add acts of service to your prayers, and there will be a shift in the spiritual realm. We encourage you to also pray for yourself, that you will stand strong in God’s love and speak His promises over your marriage.Step 2: Check out the resources below. We understand it can be difficult to remain focused on God’s assignment to love when there is strife. That’s why we’ve developed resources for you to use during your personal time. Use them as a springboard and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you read them so you can break the assignment of discord from your marriage.Step 3: Meditate and declare God’s Word. The only way to overcome the enemy’s assignment of discord is with the Word. If you want to break this evil assignment, start every day by declaring a life-giving Word over your marriage. The Bible tells us that the sword of the Spirit is the Word of God. The sword cuts off the assignment.Being confident in the Word allows you to use it effectively. If you are having difficulty believing God’s promises, pray for your faith to be activated today!
