Purim! Mask Craft

Help your children better understand God’s festival of Purim. The craft gives them an opportunity to use their creativity as an open door to have a deeper encounter with the loving instruction of God.

Supplies:

  • Crafts foam sheet
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Feathers
  • Jewels
  • Beads
  • Pom poms
  • Elastic thread/String

Instructions:

LET’S MAKE A MASK…

  1. Get a craft foam sheet (any color) and cut out a mask. With the help of a parent, cut out holes for the eyes.
  2. Get creative! Use glue to glue on feathers, jewels, beads, and pom-poms.
  3. Let the mask dry completely. Depending on the glue this could take several hours.
  4. Cut about 10 inches of elastic thread/string, then thread it through a craft needle. Gently push the threaded needle through the mask about 1 to 2 inches from the eye holes.
