Be Transformed by the Power of Prayer and Giving
Do you want others to experience the same Spirit-filled breakthrough you did with prayer?
If you’ve ever been plagued by doubt, fear, and unbelief, you understand the paralyzing hold they can have on your life. You bow your head in prayer and lift your hands to the Lord, but the words you pray seem to bounce off the ceiling and fall to the floor around you. Simply put, those prayers went “unanswered.”
You knew something had to give, so you decided to step out in faith. You called a friend, a pastor, or our 1-on-1 Prayer Ministry in search of intercessory prayer that would come into agreement with truth on your behalf.
As a result, there was a release in the spiritual atmosphere—a release activated by the power of agreement in prayer that equipped you to take the action steps needed to promote you to a new level of faith. As the Holy Spirit guided you, you were able make the changes in your life to walk in victory.
We want to ask you, as a result from the power of agreement in prayer, how has your life been transformed? Is this transformation something you want others to experience?
The Importance of Praying for Others
God encourages us to pray for and with others. Sometimes this can be difficult when we’re going through emotional struggles of our own. In fact, the enemy uses this as a way to distract us from praying for or encouraging others to pray according to God’s Word.
He raises up spirits of discontentment, jealousy, and bitterness to block us from decreeing, declaring, and doing God’s will.
Why Does Satan Stir Up a Spirit of Discontentment?
Because the devil understands that when two or more are gathered in the name of Jesus, coming together in agreement with truth and cancelling his lies, he must flee (Matthew 18:20, James 4:7).
Pray without Ceasing
Colossians 1:9 says that we are to pray continually, both for others and for ourselves, in the Spirit. Paul wrote that he didn’t stop praying for the saints.
He understood, and wanted Believers everywhere to understand, that when we cover others in prayer, we sow seeds into their lives, and the same is sown back into ours.
This is why the Apostle Paul did not cease to pray and instructed his co-laborer, Timothy, to do the same.
- “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding…”—Colossians 1:9
- “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men… For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”—1 Timothy 2:1, 3-5
Forgiven. Pay It Forward with Prayer and Giving
As Believers, we have been forgiven and our sins are buried with our old lives as we step into our inherited identity in Christ.
To continue to fulfill your God-given purpose, the Lord will continue to refine your character with the fire of the Holy Spirit, prompting you to move forward in faith and use prayer to water the seeds that you sow.
Paul also discussed with the Corinthians that it takes action on everyone’s part for God to multiply what has been planted and watered.
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.”—1 Corinthians 3:6-7
The Enemy’s Attempt to Replace Your Breakthrough with Fear
You see, the enemy will tempt you to stand still after your breakthrough. He doesn’t want you to move, because he knows mountains will move with you. He wants to cover your victory with the fear of losing it, so you won’t release it by sowing into someone else’s life.
But God’s principles of multiplication are different. Just like the parable of the talents explains, a good and faithful servant who has been wise with little will share in the Master’s joy.
“His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”—Matthew 25:23
Finding Freedom in Prayer and Giving
Imagine living a life of complete confidence that the God of Creation will take your offering and multiply and plant it into countless lives. The God of your breakthrough is the same God who is waiting for you to take action and be a part of someone else’s.
Imagine, after your seeds of faith have been planted, a prayer intercessor at Curt Landry Ministries waters it with prayers of agreement, and God increases the harvest—not just in their life but in yours too!
You can walk in freedom and confidence knowing there are blessings in prayer and giving.
Jewish Principles of Multiplication
As you begin to connect to the roots of your faith, God reveals His biblical principles of multiplication. He knew that our hearts would be tied to material things after sin entered the world. This is why He gave His people principles of how to manage their resources in a way that…
- Glorified Him
- Blessed them
- Resisted the temptation of sin
- Honored others
- Furthered His Kingdom
Those same principles still make up the framework He wants Believers to live by today. That hasn’t changed, because God hasn’t changed (Hebrews 13:8).
Unfortunately, this plagues many in the Church today as these biblical principles have been blurred.
We’ve been taught that if we want to prosper, we need to hold on to what we have. Even more so, if we want things like a life full of peace, joy, and abundance, we have to “stuff” more into it. Our hearts become settled on getting more instead of giving more.
God says this…
“‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.’”—Isaiah 55:8-9
Therefore, we need to set our thoughts on things above and protect our seed by sowing it into fertile soil. The enemy will always try to counterfeit what is good. Living an abundant life is what God wants for us, but His ways say, “give,” and the world says, “get,” to move forward.
- With a small donation made in faith, you will plant a seed into another’s life.
- With an act of obedience, God will prosper you.
- With a cheerful, giving heart, the Lord unlocks Heaven’s door and pours out blessings upon you.
The Jewish principles of giving and generosity were simply part of their culture. It was something built into their society so that their brothers and sisters would be cared for and given an opportunity to prosper themselves.
What was the outcome of living by these biblical principles?
A nation whose offspring became as numerous as the stars in the sky (Genesis 26:4). He multiplied their seed!
If you’ve received a breakthrough in prayer, you have experienced a seed that was sown into your life, watered by prayer. And it all started with someone like you—who was willing to step out in faith and give.
Someone gave so that you might receive.
Will you pass on the power of prayer to someone else? Wherever your brother and sister in Christ is today, our 1-on-1 Prayer Ministry wants to water a seed you’ve sown and come into agreement with them for their breakthrough.
Let’s keep the momentum going among the Body of Christ so that we walk in victory, together, and enact the inheritance God has graciously given us!
Let us stand as one, united in prayer and committed to giving to further God’s Kingdom.
When you sow a seed into our 1-on-1 Prayer Ministry, you will…
- Empower others to break free from the chains that hold them back from healing, prosperity, and freedom (James 5:16)
- Encourage our intercessors to continue praying in the Spirit and coming into agreement with God’s truth (Hebrews 12:1)
- Establish a decree of truth in your own life that will be multiplied and released according to His glory in Christ (Philippians 4:19)
Let’s begin planting seeds today that will reap a great harvest tomorrow.
Be blessed as you give to the 1-on-1 Prayer Ministry today!
