The Power of His Glory

As we prepare to celebrate the head of the year—Rosh Hashanah of 5779—we anticipate moving into the new year with new opportunities for more visitations of the Glory of God than ever before. The time to favor Zion is greater now than ever before, because there is major shift—a ‘realignment’—of the nations taking place throughout the world. I believe God is preparing the world for what He wants to happen—not what man thinks is going to happen. This will be a glorious time and now is the time to prepare for the Power of His Glory!

One thing about the Glory of God is that if you desire earnestly to experience the Glory, you have to make it a priority in your life. The Glory doesn’t come just because you pray and say, “Lord, show me Your Glory.” No, you must seek after His Glory and make yourself ready for the responsibilities that come with the Glory.

You need to ask yourself the question, “Do I want the Glory in my life?”—and if so, are the restrictions or the choices you need to make worth the effort to maintain that Glory?

You may be asking, “What are the restrictions or choices that I need to make in my life?”

To help you decide If you are ready to make this life-changing commitment to be a seeker of His Glory, I’d like to share with you some of the benefits of living a life in the Glory. When you are in the atmosphere of God’s Glory, His attributes are made known and His blessings follow.

These blessings and benefits of living within the Glory will help you decide if it’s worth the journey to make the life changing adjustments

1. Miracles

“This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”—John 2:11

One of the first things that happens when you’re in an atmosphere with the Glory, is that you have the opportunity for miracles. The disciples were attracted to the Glory that Jesus manifested. They believed in Him—they believed in the miracles and the healings. Jesus surrounded Himself with people who believed in Him.

Doubt and unbelief does not attract the Glory. Faith attracts the Glory. So, the question is, “Why should we invest the time to seek after His Glory?”

Miracles—everyone will get to a place in their life where they need a miracle. If we live in the place of His Glory, there is potential for the miraculous!

2. Provision

“‘And in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord; for He hears your complaints against the Lord. But what are we, that you complain against us?’ Also Moses said, ‘This shall be seen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the Lord hears your complaints which you make against Him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.’”—Exodus 16:7-8

Even in the midst of a complaining Israel, God says, “In the morning, you shall see My Glory.” When the Glory shows up it overcomes the complaints and brings necessary provision.

You may be distracted, frustrated and needy, but when the Glory shows up in such a powerful way, you are set free from the oppressor. God’s Glory provides for your needs.

3. Strength

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”—Romans 15:13

Bad choices usually come out of our weaknesses. If you want the strength to be able to endure from faith-to-faith and day-to-day in your life, you need to have a plan and a place where you connect with God on a daily basis—to soak, meditate, pray and study. Just as your body requires daily food, your spirit needs to be filled daily with the Holy Spirit so you can have strength for that day. When you seek His Glory, He strengthens you by the power of His Spirit

4. Instruction

“Now the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the cloud. The sight of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel.—Exodus 24:16

The Glory needs to be seen—God’s instruction is seen and received in the Glory. The giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai and the giving of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost were both seen with the manifestation of fire and Glory. They saw the Glory cloud and they saw the manifestation of God’s awesomeness with fire.

When you see the Glory and when you receive the Instruction (God’s Word), you rest in what He’s doing. It’s out of the Glory that divine instructions come. Words of knowledge are birthed—prophetic words are birthed. God’s instruction and direction come into your ‘inner knower,’ where answers are revealed to you on matters you may have been trying to decide. Suddenly, the Holy Spirit brings light to your question and peace with the answer. That’s a powerful benefit of being in the Glory.

5. Teacher

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”—John 14:26

All things can be taught in the Glory. It’s in the Glory that the Holy Spirit will bring past words to remembrance. That’s how He teaches you. He teaches you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He gives you peace to know the direction you’re to take as you abide in His Glory.

6. Correction

“And Korah gathered all the congregation against them at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation.”—Numbers 16:19

So, what was happening in this passage? The Glory came because God wanted His people to be able to accept the law, not reject the law. God is now, for the first time, taking slaves and saying, “I’m going to give you instruction on how you can prosper with Me as your God.” But this small group chose to build a golden calf and continue in their idolatry and witchcraft. They refused to be corrected and rejected the Glory… and the Glory rejected them.

The Glory isn’t to be played with or manipulated. The Glory is most holy unto the Lord. He doesn’t want His Glory mixing with idolatry. God wants willing vessels who will position themselves to receive His Glory even in times of correction.

Correction is a friend to all those who don’t process correction as rejection. Correction is Love that draws us to repentance, and repentance is returning to God for renewal and refreshing. Everyone makes mistakes, but as the Holy Spirit corrects within the Glory, we are able to learn from those mistakes and prosper in the Correction.

7. Protection

“Blessed is the man whom You instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law, that You may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.”—Psalm 94:12-13

Just as the Lord dealt with the sons of Korah, He will deal with those who want to hinder you in your walk with Him. When you keep your focus on the Lord, He will dig the pit for your adversaries. Others will come against you, but the more you ignore them and quit talking about them, the sooner their ditch will be built.

Without a doubt, following the Lord’s Glory is the highest and best way to live on this earth. The one who looks to and depends on the Lord’s instruction will be blessed with His protection in the Glory.

8. Direction

“Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.”—Exodus 40:34

One of the most powerful things about the Glory, is that it gives you direction. The Lord will prompt us on timing issues. He wants us ready to move with Him—to move with the cloud of His Glory. He wants us to avoid the high winds of adversity by staying within the timing of His clear direction in the Glory.

Well, the beauty of the cloud was that when the cloud moved, you knew it was time to go. So, don’t move until you see the cloud move. For most of us, it’s hard to wait. Waiting sometimes will bring on a false urgency from the enemy encouraging us to move out of God’s timing. Waiting on the Lord is one the highest levels of praise. This is where we let Him know He is Lord of our lives and we depend on His direction. He will not disappoint you if you keep your focus on Him in the Glory.

9. Warnings

“Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia.”—Acts 16:6

What’s happening here in this scripture is that in the Glory and in the power of the Glory, the Lord was telling them, “I don’t want you to preach to them right now. I’m not saying never again… just not right now.” The Lord will give you warning in the Glory. Then, you have a choice.

The more time you spend in the Glory, the more time you’ll have instruction, correction, warnings, witty inventions, words of knowledge, visions, dreams, and every other thing that’s seated in the Glory.

10. To Send

“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’”—Acts 13:2

They were separating, but they were carrying the same message and the same Glory. Now, the Glory was multiplying at the fork of the road in the time to be sent. The Glory was manifested in the act of sending.

Sometimes we don’t understand the power of God ‘to be sent’ or ‘to send’ someone out. If you’re leaving a ministry, you need to be ‘sent’ from that ministry with a blessing. If you do that, you’ll head off the lies of the enemy that crop up in the camp. There can be all sorts of wagging tongues when people leave churches, but if we make a point ‘to send’ or ‘be sent’ in the Glory, the Lord will receive the Glory in the sending—the Gospel will be multiplied in the sending and the blessing of the Glory will follow.

I hope that you have been encouraged to be a ‘seeker’ of the Power of His Glory as you’ve looked at these ten blessings that flow out of the Glory. The Glory of God is a very real thing and He will manifest it where He chooses.

When you follow in obedience to His instruction and seek after His Glory, you position yourself to receive the manifestations of His Glory.

Now is the time to ‘be sent’ in the power of His Glory. You can be sent into a new life—where the goals of your life are wrapped up in seeking His Glory. Become a student of what it takes to be a priest in His Glory. Look for the daily experiences of life that give way to the Glory and get ready for a new lifestyle of living in the power of His Glory.

Don’t let this next season of your life be the same… make a commitment to be one who seeks His Glory. You can know that as you seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things will be added to you!
