Children ARE a Blessing!
Recently, Curt Landry Ministries gave a gift of one hundred fifty backpacks to at-risk school children in Beit She’an, Israel. Due to the economic decline in this region many families are unable to provide their children with daily necessities. We have partnered with this city in many ways, including: providing Passover and other holiday meals for the city residents who can not afford them, painting a local special needs school, providing much needed emergency equipment for the City of Beit She’an, and the list continues.

Likewise, we recently donated backpacks to schoolchildren in Fairland, Oklahoma. Along with these backpacks we also provided school supplies at the request of the local school board. Children, who could not otherwise receive new school items this fall, were given brightly colored packs and a list of wonderful school supplies that included:
- Pens
- Box of Colored Pencils
- Pencils
- Pencil Top Erasers
- Notebook Paper
- Folders
- Spiral Notebooks
- Rulers
We read in scripture, in Matthew 19.13 that the disciples did not understand the importance of children: “Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them.”
Isn’t it interesting that these Believers, in the very presence of Messiah, could not understand the value of children? I think that this is often the case in the Church, as well. Many times we find it hard to believe that God speaks special words to these tiny individuals…that our God would actually hang out with them, talk with them, play with them, and even be silly with them at times!
“But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’”—Matthew 19.14
You’ve heard it said that, “the children are our future.” I don’t think any of us would argue this fact. However, what happens when children who come from broken homes fall through the cracks? I’ll tell you, we lose. Everyone loses.
“And He laid His hands on them and departed from there.”—Matthew 19.15
At Curt Landry Ministries, we believe in the destinies and futures of ALL children. We sincerely wish to do all that we can to assist young children to know who they are in Christ, so that they can grow and fully walkout God’s plans for their lives—their destinies!
Through generous donations like yours we are able to reach out to hurting children both at home and abroad. We pray over the gifts that each child receives in hope that it plants a seed of love deep into their hearts, and that one day we will be able to minister to them about the love of their Father in Heaven.
“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth.”—Psalm 127.4
Children are an important part of the Kingdom. How many times have we overlooked these sweet ones for answers? Isn’t their very existence a picture of our own interaction with Father God? As they lift their hands to us with tear stained cheeks, we are also to lift our hearts to Father God. Even in the most difficult of circumstances He desires to reach down and make something beautiful out of each child.
Our hearts desire at Curt Landry Ministries is to bring beauty in the areas where these children have a desperate need—even if it comes in the shape of a backpack. Won’t you help us make a difference in the lives of children across the globe?
