Testimony of a Covenant Partner | Rejecting a Jezebel Spirit

People will often share testimonies of faith so specific that it can only be the Spirit of God orchestrating it perfectly in the background. We have had people state that, after becoming a Covenant Partner, they received a book in the mail from us they were not expecting, yet they had been in conversation with the Lord about a desire to read that exact book!

Jane’s Testimony:
“Unexpectedly, l received a parcel on my front porch from your ministry. I was not expecting it. I was not anticipating it. However, on more than one occasion, I had mentally thought ‘I’d really like to have the book, Israel Rising.’ When I lifted the package and noted that it was heavy, I was puzzled about the package content. When I opened it… I was speechless and was moved to tears. Since receiving Israel Rising, I have been inundated by scriptures, teachings, and messages all referring to the ‘land’ as confirmation to the content of the book.”

Katie’s Testimony:
“As I was scrolling through some sermons that Curt Landry Ministries had posted, I felt led to revisit one I had already watched. Little did I know that God was about to speak directly to me and start to break down walls that I failed to recognize even existed.
“The sermon was 40 Signs You Are Being Destroyed by a Jezebel Spirit or a Religious Spirit. Pride led me to think that, if anything, I would relate more to the Religious Spirit as opposed to the Jezebel Spirit.
“After all, I am a long-time Christian, am active in my home church, and have a strong faith. I try to bear His fruit and live in alignment with His message. Even my job is centered on my faith. Perhaps, I had just gone too far in my faith and needed some slight redirection from the Lord.
“I couldn’t have been further from the truth! During that sermon, God revealed—through Curt Landry—several of His truths that shook my foundation and forever changed my faith.”
What God Revealed…
“God revealed that if manipulation is a tactic that is used as a means of getting what is wanted, the person manipulating is falling victim to a Jezebel Spirit.
“I felt myself instantly reject that thought; I am NOT a manipulator. Then, I felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit tell me to take a closer look at myself and how I was working within my own home.
“That look was nothing less than frightening! The scariest part is that I have been operating under this Jezebel Spirit and disguising it as God’s will to my family and to myself.
“God revealed that as I continue to unfairly accomplish my purpose with my family, I am also unfairly robbing them of His anointing for their lives. I was broken; I had literally allowed a Jezebel Spirit to cripple my family’s faith.”
Rejecting a Jezebel Spirit…
“Now what? The worst part about this revelation was that I had become accustomed to using manipulative tactics on a regular basis. I was so afraid of the change that I knew needed to take place. But I also knew it was time for me to start rejecting a Jezebel Spirit.
“For the Word of God says, ‘For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.’—Hebrews 10:26-27
“I admit I was afraid. Afraid that without manipulation I would lose control of my family’s faith walk. Afraid that I would see harsh consequences and repercussions from my actions, and worse yet, I felt as if I deserved them.
“Then I remembered, ‘There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.’—1 John 4:18
“I worried about my family being angry or completely distrusting me. However, as I searched God’s Word, He revealed through scripture that He is always faithful to provide a way for me to endure what was coming.
“I also remembered, ‘No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.’—1 Corinthians 10:13
“I knew that it was time to confess what God had revealed to me. I gathered my family and shared God’s truth and His desire for me to repent and seek His and their forgiveness.
“Again, I couldn’t have been further from the truth. God poured His grace on me at that moment. My spouse and children did not condemn. On the contrary, they were quick to forgive.”
Three Ways Hope Was Restored…
“For the first time in a long time, I felt true freedom. The kind of freedom that Believers long for once they have had a taste of the Holy Spirit igniting their souls with possibilities. I knew I had changes to make, but I also knew that I had all the tools in my tool belt to accomplish the job.
“Here is a list of the power, comfort, and help God reminded me of that was mine in the Holy Spirit:
1. Help through prayer and discernment: “The Holy Spirit has been able to help me discern that I was seeking control in places that God calls me to surrender. I wanted to keep my and my family’s emotional well-being in my own clutches as if I could handle it better than God.
“He said to me: ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.’—Proverbs 3:5-6
2. Help through consistent time in His word: “As I began to spend more and more time with the Lord, He began to restore my relationships. Not only with Him but also with my family. I have been a witness to heart changes in both my spouse and my children.
“He said to me: ‘But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.’—1 Peter 5:10
3. Help through the protective covering of His church: “God’s Word reminds us that we should not walk out our hardships alone. I am so thankful to be a Covenant Partner in a ministry that protects me through prayer and prophetic insight.
“He said to me: ‘Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.’—1 Corinthians 1:10

“There is so much peace and power in allowing God’s Spirit to be the only occupant in my soul. Though I know that there will still be many bumps in the road, I have faith in my ability to reject a Jezebel Spirit.
