Is a life of spiritual growth really that important? Believers desire the peace and joy that the Lord promises through salvation. However, many continue to experience the spiritual struggles that plagued their lives before becoming born-again. Doubt and fear take over in their minds, and the Word of God is pushed aside because of circumstances and situations. Yet, God tells us spiritual growth is a process.
When will our breakthrough truly come so that we can experience greater spiritual growth?
There are practical steps to take in order to come out of agreement with the world and enter into the presence of God, which will ultimately lead to spiritual growth. In order for peace and joy to be revealed in our lives, we must first be willing to graduate from milk to solid food. God’s intent is for us to move forward and grow, understanding Him in new ways, so that we may be abundantly blessed, possessing the power to safeguard against the enemy’s schemes!
“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”—Hebrews 5:12-14
How to Start Living a Spiritual Life…
“In consistency lies the victory.” When you plug into the powerful messages from Curt Landry, you will hear this simple and true statement while understanding biblical applications to everyday life. We all want to be victorious. Taking an honest inventory of our inconsistencies helps us confront and overcome the barriers that keep us from spiritual maturity.
After accepting Jesus as our Savior, we are grafted into the family of God. Our faith in His sacrifice on the cross is where our spiritual journey begins to grow.
“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.”—Philippians 3:12-16
Living a Spiritual Life…
Consistency is the key… but consistency in what?
A number of Believers find it difficult to maintain perseverance and diligence through trials. These trials are clearing the way for triumph—this is growth! We all need a teacher who will speak truth in love and provide the tools for overcoming battles.
Gather together in fellowship: In today’s world, wherever we live, we have the luxury of hearing from anointed teachers through webcasts, podcasts and livestreaming. Maybe you attend a Church and are looking for greater understanding. Maybe you want a deeper knowledge of God’s character and how the Messiah lived His life as a Jew.
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”—Hebrews 10:24-25
Through Curt Landry Ministries LIVE Streaming you will join with other Believers, just like you, from around the globe, who are eager to hear a word from the Lord. These prophetic words will help you build character so that you can step into the divine plan God has laid out specifically for you from the beginning.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”—Ephesians 2:10
Worship together: Worship is an intimate experience and expression of who God is, and to be filled with heartfelt thanksgiving. This draws us into His presence. When worship is uninhibited and God-centered, it opens the doors of Heaven and the blessings and knowledge of Christ washes over us.
“Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.”—Psalm 96:9
Worship was not intended to be monotonous or structured to the point of being a simple formality. It’s a time we can come before our Creator with humble and open hearts, so only His Word and truth can fill us up.
Receive biblical teaching for today: A number of Believers get caught in the trap of thinking biblical instruction doesn’t apply for us today. This is unfortunate, as God’s Word is eternal and never contradicts itself.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness…”—2 Timothy 3:16
The reason many are not able to apply the biblical teachings of hope, forgiveness, wisdom, obedience, faith, and so on, is due to the lack of understanding regarding their Jewish roots to the faith. Jesus, a Jew, came to fulfill the law, to provide reason and understanding for it, so that we may have greater knowledge and enter into the presence of our Father.
When we truly begin to understand the promises of the covenant, which the Apostle Paul was referring to in the book of Ephesians, when he taught on how through Yeshua, the Gentiles are brought into the commonwealth of Israel, blindness begins to fall from our eyes and we can walk in covenant power.
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”—Ephesians 2:14-16
