In honor of Israel’s 70th anniversary year, Curt Landry Ministries is excited to offer the Israel’s 70th Project, where you can bless the nation of Israel with YOUR sponsorship of an olive tree planted in the Promised Land. Not only will you bless Israel with your sponsorship, but you will activate God’s prophetic promises upon His land. And, as you bless the nation of Israel, you, too, will be blessed as you receive your copy of the beautiful hardbound full-color book, Israel Rising, with breathtaking photographs of Israel’s landscape—past and present—plus a commemorative desktop Israeli flag, along with your own personal Certificate of Authenticity, that can be proudly displayed in your home or office.
“I will bless those who bless you [Israel], and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”—Genesis 12:3
From 1948 to today, Israel has witnessed incredible changes throughout the physical landscape of this small, yet great nation. As a sign of the restoration of both the land of Israel, and also of Jewish sovereignty, God’s fulfillment of biblical prophecy continues to come to pass before our very eyes.
As Israel celebrates her 70th Anniversary, our desire at Curt Landry Ministries is to do something special for the land of the nation of Israel. Our ministry does many great things for the people of Israel, but it is also very important to Curt Landry Ministries, especially during this special 70th year, to do something for the actual land of Promise—the place where God has chosen His Name to abide.
In Leviticus 25 we can see the importance of the land of Israel to God’s heart—not only for the land, but also for the abundant harvests to come. In verse 23 we are clearly reminded that the earth belongs to the Lord:
“The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners [one who resides temporarily in a place] with Me.”—Leviticus 25:23 (Emphasis added)
Oftentimes people feel that the instructions found in Leviticus are outdated or un-relatable, but when we read with our spiritual eyes and hearts, we can see God’s heart and purpose behind the instruction.
The Lord told Moses that, “when you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a sabbath to the Lord” (Lev. 25:2). The land was, and still is, an active participant is God’s instruction and redemption.
In Ezekiel 36 we see where a prophetic word is being spoken directly to the land as a dynamic member of the covenant. We see God speaking to the land as He would to a living being who responds to His Word. This is because the land does respond to God’s Word—just as we read of in the account of creation in Genesis 1-2.
The land was a crucial participant in God’s covenant with His people.
“…therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord God! Thus says the Lord God to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, the valleys, the desolate wastes, and the cities that have been forsaken, which became plunder and mockery to the rest of the nations all around… But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come. For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.
“I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. Yes, I will cause men to walk on you, My people Israel; they shall take possession of you, and you shall be their inheritance…”—Ezekiel 36:4-12 (Emphasis added)
After mass desolation of Israel from numerous wars, as well as the 402-year occupation of the Ottoman Empire (1516-1918), Israel’s land experienced harsh punishment. The Ottoman Empire, whose official religion was Islam, literally taxed residents for all trees grown on their property; therefore tree after tree was literally cut down and burned. However, the land and the trees are now being restored as is witnessed by and facilitated by this generation.
Through the Curt Landry Ministries, Israel’s 70th Project we are planting trees, and in doing so, are prophetically proclaiming Ezekiel’s words: “You shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come.”
Doug Hershey, author of the book, Israel Rising, speaks about witnessing the land physically respond to the covenant of God, which can even be seen on the borders with other nations. There are much more than fences that visually divide Israel and her neighboring countries.
During many of our Curt Landry Ministries tours we have had the honor of actually planting olive trees in Israel’s desolate, rocky soil. During those plantings we have actually witnessed many participants weep with joy as they realized that they were physically fulfilling biblical prophecy. There is nothing quite like the hands-on experience and interaction with the land knowing that the words of Ezekiel are not only coming forth 2600 years later, but are coming forth through YOU, Your family and Your children.
What once was, is rapidly becoming no more…
Mark Twain is famously quoted for saying:
“Of all the lands there are for dismal scenery, I think Palestine must be the prince. The hills are barren, they are dull of color, they are unpicturesque in shape. The valleys are unsightly deserts fringed with a feeble vegetation that has an expression about it of being sorrowful and despondent.”
The book, Israel Rising, challenges these words. Curt Landry Ministries’ work in Israel challenges these words. The nation of Israel in her 70th year challenges these words!
She is no longer dismal. Nor barren. She is not dull of color. Nor is she despondent.
Israel is full of promise—and even more so, as every tree sponsored by people like you, is actively engaged with God’s Word and vision for the land of Israel.
The prophetic words to Israel read in the Bible, were not simply stories and allegories. Our generation is actually witnessing them come to pass as the land physically responds to the Word of God spoken over it, and the return of Jewish sovereignty in 1948 (70 years ago). We witness a “trinity” of sorts, with the connection between God, His people and the Land as He moves us forward into blessing and legacy.
Ezekiel 36:26 says:
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
There is a pattern where God prepares the land for the return of His people. This pattern is also evident in the steps followed in salvation—“a new heart and a new spirit ” happens after a return to the land.
And here we are… 70 years later!
In the Bible, 70 is a sacred number made up of two perfect numbers, 7 and 10. The number 7 represents God’s faithfulness, and 10 represents completeness and God’s law. Therefore, at this special 70th anniversary we see the symbolism of “empowered and perfect spiritual order” and “complete perfection.”
God has been so faithful to Israel and her land!
The book, Israel Rising, documents this faithfulness and the manifestation of God’s promises, while your sponsorship of olive trees is an active participation with this manifestation.
Israel Rising is a unique visual story of Israel’s miraculous journey from an unforgiving desert land to a thriving nation.
Thousands of years ago, the prophet Ezekiel foretold a future time in which the arid land of Israel would come alive for its people. This breathtaking book documents the fulfillment of this vision, from the hills of Shiloh where shepherds once roamed, to the booming city of Tel Aviv, founded on sand dunes, to the stellar beaches of Caesarea, transformed from a small village into one of Israel’s most stunning coastal cities, and finally Jerusalem, the Eternal City of Peace, where in ancient times the power of worship resounded from the Temple. Rarely seen photographs taken between the 1880s and the 1940s juxtaposed with contemporary images of the same locations illustrate the region’s biblical history as a place of monumental battle, celebration, worship, and awesome resilience.
Israel Rising starts at the beginning… Giving us a glimpse of at what exactly Ezekiel prophesied, it explores many historical accounts from Jewish, Christian, and Muslim eyewitnesses of what the land and region has experienced and endured throughout the centuries. This book compares photos included from the 1880s – 1940s to new photos of the same locations. With more than 175 photos, Israel Rising depicts the transformation of Israel as it celebrates its 70th anniversary!
Surely, our God is who He says He is, and does what He says He will do. Our God is faithful to carry out His Word to completion—not only in Israel, but also in our own lives as well.
During Israel’s 70th Anniversary year, as Curt Landry Ministries plants your sponsored olive trees deep into Israel’s soil, we do so as a bold prophetic act, declaring that the land will continue to shoot forth branches that yield fruit for God’s chosen people!
As you plant into the Curt Landry Ministries, Israel’s 70th Project, your tree will prophetically stand as a beacon of light to the nations, proclaiming that God is still in the business of fulfilling His promises to the Land of Israel and to His people.
With your full sponsorship of an olive tree planted in the land of Israel, you will receive…
What a wonderful time to be alive! God is fulfilling His prophetic promises by restoring and renewing the once barren hillsides and deserts of Israel—creating the lush green landscape that we are eyewitnesses to today!
