Curt Landry’s Personal Relationship with First Nations

You may have noticed that Curt Landry Ministries at House of David has been discussing, posting prophetic words, and recognizing the First Nations people.

What does the Bible Say about Restoration, End Times, and Role of United States?

Many have questions and want to know about Curt Landry’s personal connection with the Native American tribes of North America, and what role they play in God’s restoration plan.

Curt Landry’s divine encounter with the First Nations opened doors that he couldn’t have seen when he and his wife, Christie, moved to the four-state area in 1996. Curt describes the moment similar to what Abraham experienced when God told him to move “to a land that I will show you” (see Gen. 12:1).

That unknown land happened to be in the heart of a number of Native American tribes, and at the end of the Trail of Tears.

We know that God’s design is to reconcile the firstborn Jewish people back to Himself, and we understand the role of the Gentile Church in His overall plan, as we read in scripture how He brings them together as One New Man.

“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one… so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”—Ephesians 2:14-16

Have you ever thought about the importance of recognizing and honoring the First Nations people, and about how they fit into the One New Man? Their culture may be different than yours, but their place at God’s table is definite. They have a connection to the land, just as the Jews do in Israel, that must be acknowledged in order for the land to be healed.

“My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, ‘You sit here in a good place,’ and say to the poor man, ‘You stand there,’ or, ‘Sit here at my footstool,’  have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?”—James 2:1-4

How Curt Landry Became an Honorary Peace Chief…

As mentioned previously, Curt Landry and his family moved to the four-state region in 1996. In 1997 He met Apostle Jay Swallow, founder of Two Rivers Native American Training Center, and who was uniquely recognized as the spiritual leader for over 500 recognized Native American tribes in the United States.

A year later, Curt was invited to speak at Two Rivers. Ada Wynn, a well-known prophet among the tribes, has said, “The Lord has spoken to me and said that Rabbi’s name is Golden Eagle. He was sent to our people to release justice into our land.”

Sometime later, the Lord spoke to Roy Wolftail, the Chief of the Blackfoot tribe, and instructed him to give his own headdress, one that was a gift to him as the chief, to Curt Landry. What was the headdress made of… Golden Eagle feathers.

For the Native American people, this gesture, and the honor that comes with it, is significant. But you can’t comprehend the depth of the recognition unless you first seek to understand their culture.

Curt Landry was incredibly honored to wear the headdress and place it on the platform at House of David. It exemplifies the mutual respect and relationship between the cultures.

We cannot get caught up in the lies of the enemy that born-again Believers must all look, or even worship in the same way. The common thread is a belief in Christ’s death and resurrection and that He is our salvation.

“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.”—Romans 12:4-5

The History and Future of Solidarity…

In 2014 all apostolic leaders of the 39 tribes in Oklahoma signed a document of solidarity with the nation of Israel and Jerusalem as the undivided capital. This signed document is in a silver box in the entryway of Knesset still today.

Additionally, all 50 states of the U.S. signed a document of solidarity, through the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network. This official document hangs in Jerusalem’s City Hall.

What does the signing of solidarity mean?

When the First Nation’s people signed, followed by the 50 states, and Curt Landry’s presentation of the document in Jerusalem to Israeli government officials, it released an awakening revival. End-time events are falling into place and are in the process of being fulfilled.

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”—Matthew 24:14

Billy Graham spoke to the Native American Christian leaders of this future revival at a conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1975.

“You are a sleeping giant, the original American. You are now awakening. Just around the corner, you may become a spiritual superpower in this country that could change not only America but the world.”—Billy Graham

The foundation of revival is coming together. The First Nation, in covenant with and restored to Israel along with the firstfruit Gentiles, is crucial for restoration.

“This covenant restoration is the reason the Passover 5778 was so significant. All 39 tribes were represented on the platform; this shows that revival is coming. The Lord chose House of David, at the end of Trail of Tears, at that moed—divinely appointed time—for all to come together at God’s table. He anointed all the tribes of North America to release the end-time revival into North America”—Curt Landry

Misconceptions about First Nations…

The most common misconception is that the Native American people practice idolatry in their cultural customs. This misunderstanding only causes division.

The reality is in every culture there are both good and bad traditions.

“…making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”—Mark 7:13

Jesus is speaking to the Pharisees who put their practices and traditions above God’s sovereign grace. There are good traditions, such as the Feasts of the Lord… however, when idolatry is added to the ceremony, dangerous territory is near. The line is when man puts more focus on the tradition rather than God’s all-powerful authority.

It is imperative that we understand we must first remove the log from our own eye before speaking to our brother. Recognize some customs are simply cultural, and each nation and region can freely worship the Lord in their native tongue by using their uniquely God-given sound.

It is this understanding that Curt Landry Ministries is respected by the First Nations. It’s God’s will that they become born-again, and can still honor their mothers, fathers, ancestors, and heritage.

“They don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care… this is first. We can then go in and teach biblical foundations and principles of the Word of God. Allowing that expression of who they are, out their cultural roots. Embracing what God wants to sing and to say through them.”—Curt Landry
