Doubt and Unbelief

I personally think that the sin that offends God the most is doubt and unbelief. When we refuse to step out in faith, it offends Him because it assumes that our intellect and personal choices will be better than what God has chosen for us.

We must understand the seriousness of this issue in our hearts, so today I wanted to take a few minutes to review my PowerPoints with Curt Landry series on this very topic…

•Fear based decisions lack discernment and cause trouble, which feeds our Doubt and Unbelief…

“But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit.  And He said to them, ‘Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?’”—Luke 24:37-38

•Doubt and Unbelief is sin, because it is void of faith in God…

“But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.”—Romans 14:23

•Don’t allow Doubt and Unbelief to steal one more second of your glorious life! Don’t miss your Jubilee!

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.”—James 1:6

•God sees you like a perfect red leaf and rejoices in His creation. What do you see?

•Jubilee is when our soul has kicked Doubt and Unbelief out of the sandbox and is truly in unity with the Holy Spirit…

“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’”—Mark 9:24

•Jesus’ love for Thomas was demonstrated in His gentle, yet direct response to his Unbelief…

“Then He said to Thomas, ‘Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.’”—John 20:27

•Doubt and Unbelief breaks the circuit of faith to receive healing and miracles…

“Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”—Matthew 13:58

•Will Jesus marvel at our Unbelief, or rejoice in our Faith…

“And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching.”—Mark 6:6

•To fully receive Jubilee, we must have: 1) Soft, tender hearts; 2) Be loving and thankful; 3) Be willing to receive correction, repent, and be restored…

“Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.”—Mark 16:14

•Do you view Fear, Doubt and Unbelief as bad a sin as adultery or murder? God Does…

•Are you prepared to answer some critical questions about our relationship with God?

“But He said to them, ‘Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?’”—Mark 4:40

•The Christian walk is only fun if we do it by faith. We should enjoy being a Believer…

“But He said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?’ Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”—Matthew 8:26

•Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the Creator gives us, the created opportunity to speak to creation and bring about change—but this can only happen by Faith…

“So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” it will be done.’”—Matthew 21:21

•When the Holy Spirit, who brings peace, can arrest a man’s soul so that he can believe God’s truth over the world and his own body, healing comes…

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”—John 14:27
